It's widely recognized that the Parody Wiki faces a challenge: the vast majority of content doesn't qualify as parody. As I've previously discussed, to address this issue, I'm implementing new quality control standards. While I won't specify what constitutes a "true parody," I will clarify what does not:
Recasts: These are instances where someone replaces the original cast of a work with fictional characters, claims ownership, and posts it here.
Crossovers: Specifically, those like 'Mavis' Roar' that merely list characters without a substantial plot beyond "Mavis roars and everyone is scared."
"Spoofs": Essentially, these are more elaborate recasts but still fall short of being parodies, hence they will be excluded.
Characters As X: Typically, these are MS Paint images that involve pasting a character's head onto a generic body, such as a dancing hippo.
Character Tells Villain To Shut Up: Far from parody, these entries often consist of a brief script and a title.
Luis Alberto Video Galvan Ponce: His creations do not meet the parody standard.
Fetish Art: This content is more appropriate for platforms like DeviantArt.
Pooh's Adventures: This content overwhelms the wiki, and there's a separate dedicated wiki for it.

What is a parody?
A parody is a creative work designed to imitate, comment on, and/or mock its subject by means of satirical or ironic imitation. Often its subject is an original work or some aspect of it (theme/content, author, style, etc), but a parody can also be about a real-life person (e.g. a politician), event, or movement (e.g. the French Revolution or 1960s counterculture). Literary scholar Professor Simon Dentith defines parody as "any cultural practice which provides a relatively polemical allusive imitation of another cultural production or practice". The literary theorist Linda Hutcheon said "parody ... is imitation, not always at the expense of the parodied text." Parody may be found in art or culture, including literature, music, theater, television and film, animation, and gaming. Some parody is practiced in theater.
The writer and critic John Gross observes in his Oxford Book of Parodies, that parody seems to flourish on territory somewhere between pastiche ("a composition in another artist's manner, without satirical intent") and burlesque (which "fools around with the material of high literature and adapts it to low ends"). Meanwhile, the Encyclopédie of Denis Diderot distinguishes between the parody and the burlesque, "A good parody is a fine amusement, capable of amusing and instructing the most sensible and polished minds; the burlesque is a miserable buffoonery which can only please the populace." Historically, when a formula grows tired, as in the case of the moralistic melodramas in the 1910s, it retains value only as a parody, as demonstrated by the Buster Keaton shorts that mocked that genre.

With the help of getting unblocked in Scratchpad wiki, I just wanna go ahead & say that I am sorry about saying no about making too many sock puppets. For now on, I promise that I will be friends & never say no about making sock puppets ever again!

So.. basically since people still do recasts DESPITE the fact that the wiki is supposed to be for comedic stuff like shitposts, I just wanna say there’s probably some wiki’s for those recasts, mine included.
So… unless you got something meme-like or incredibly unserious in nature, you should probably move your stuff to those wikis. Basically I just want this cleanup to work, since there’s probably people STILL doing recasts on here.

It seems there have been a lot of users claiming that the Parody Wiki will be deleted. These are merely false rumors being spread by non-staff users.
This wiki may be a mishmash and a mess, and be dedicated to everything but parodies, but it's a beautiful mess. Unless WIKI STAFF say otherwise, it is here to stay.
Anyone who continues to spread rumors of the wiki shutting down will be blocked indefinitely.
