- Horton: Ha-ha-ha. Beautiful. That's real jungle harmony.

- Horton: That's my girl. You're gonna make one swell elephant. Why, you even sing
like one. [Why they drift downstream, giant bugs above plot Moana's stealing by grabbing her foot] Baloo (going to sleep): Doo-be-doo... [Giant bugs replace Moana by a bug] Doo-be-wee be-doo [fly lands on Baloo's nose] Hey Moana, how 'bout you flickin' that old mean fly off of your papa elephant's trunk? [bug hits Horton with a stick] Ouch! Ha, ha! Boy, when you flick a fly you really-- [he finally opens his eyes] Why you, flat-nosed, little-eyed, flaky creep!
- Moana: (held in the branches above) Hey! Let go of me! (Bugs let go of her then grabbed her feet)
- Horton: Take your flea-picking hands off my cub!
- Bug #1: Come on and get her, champ!
- Bug #2: He's no champ, he's a chump!
- Moana: Horton!
- Bug #3: Yeah! ha-ha! A big hothead!
- Horton: Okay you guys asked for it, I'll-- ooh! [he falls into water]
- Bug #4 : That'll cool him off!
- Horton: Give me back my girl-cub!
- Bug #2: Here she is, come and get her! [Horton hits against a tree and falls down flat]
- Bug #3: That's how an elephant can rest at ease!
- Bug #1?: Here's some elephant necessities! [They throw fruits at Horton]
- Horton: Now just try that again you--
- Bug #4: What's that you hit him with?
- Bug #3: That was an elephant necessity.
- Horton: Turn him loose or I'll jerk a knot in your tail
- Bug #1: We give up, here he comes!
Moana (flying): Whoa! Horton, catch me Horton!
- Bug #1: Back up, back up! Faster, faster, faster! [Horton trips and falls off the cliff]
- Monkey #2: A rolling elephant gathers no hair!
- Moana: Horton! Help me! Horton, they're carrying me away!
- Horton yells: Samson! Samson!
- Samson: Well, it's happened. Took longer then I thought but it's happened. [Horton climbs up the cliff just in the exact moment Samson arrives]
- Horton yells: Samsoooon! [Samson screeches and sits stunned for a while] Oh, you heard me, huh?
- Samson: Moana? Moana? All right, what happened? Where's Samson?
- Horton: They ambushed me, thousands of them! I jabbed with my left, then I swung with the right, and then I--
- Samson: Oof, for the last time, what happened to Moana?
- Horton: Like I told ya, them mangy bugs carried her off.
- Samson: The Ancient Ruins. Oh, I hate to think what will happen when she meets that king up there.
