Plot

A United States military convoy traveling from Area 51 collides with a car on the highway outside Las Vegas. The convoy's cargo, a zombie, escapes, killing and infecting several soldiers before heading into the city. There, they infect most of the city's population. After a military intervention fails, the government quarantines the city.

Casino owner Winston Deavor and his associate Sniper approach former mercenary Duke about a job to recover $200 million from his casino vault in Las Vegas before the military deploys a tactical nuclear strike on the city. Duke agrees and recruits his former teammates Bianca and Miles Morales, along with helicopter pilot Rivet, German safecracker Bodi, and Chicano sharpshooter Guy, who brings along his associate Eep. Sniper joins the team to give them access to the casino. Duke's estranged daughter Lux, who works at a quarantine camp, directs them to Lola, a smuggler familiar with the city, who also recruits Scout, a camp security guard. When Lux learns Lola escorted her friend Jasmine into Las Vegas, Lux insists on joining the team over Duke's objections.

After an encounter with a zombified tiger upon entering Las Vegas, Lola wounds Scout and explains that a group of intelligent zombies known as "Alphas" will allow safe passage in exchange for a sacrifice. An Alpha female known as Loona takes Scout away to the Olympus casino, where the Alpha leader Mandrake infects him. Lola leads the team to a building full of hibernating, normal zombies. Duke creates a path through the zombies with glow sticks. When Eep accuses Sniper of ulterior motives, he diverts her off the path, and she wakes the zombies. After she is surrounded and bitten, Guy shoots the gasoline canister on her back, killing her and the surrounding zombie horde.

Arriving at Winston's casino, Duke and Lux turn on the power, Rivet prepares a helicopter on the roof, and Bodi works on the vault. Sniper and Lola stay outside under the pretense of keeping watch but instead lure Loona into the open. Sniper beheads her and takes her head. Mandrake discovers her body and returns her to the Olympus casino, revealing that Loona was pregnant with a zombie fetus. Enraged, Mandrake directs the Alphas to Winston's casino. A news report reveals the government has brought forward the nuclear strike, giving the team approximately 90 minutes. As Bodi opens the vault, Duke discovers Lux had left to look for Jasmine. As Duke and Bianca are about to search for her, Alphas appear and kill Bianca.

Sniper traps the team in the basement, explaining that Winston cares only about Loona's head, which can create a zombie army for the government and is worth more than the money in the vault. When he steps outside, he discovers Lola stole Loona's head, and the tiger mauls him to death. Miles attempts to fight Mandrake but is easily overpowered. Bodi sacrifices himself to get Miles in the vault safely. Duke, Lola, and Guy make it to the lobby, where zombies attack them and swarm Guy, who detonates his grenades, killing the zombies and destroying the money he carried. Mandrake confronts them on the roof. Lola distracts him with Loona's head as Duke and Rivet escape. Mandrake impales Lola, who destroys the head by dropping it off the roof.

Rivet takes Duke to the Olympus casino to retrieve Lux. Inside, Lux finds Jasmine and kills the infected Scout. Mandrake chases them onto Rivet's helicopter. Mandrake overpowers Duke and bites him. As the nuke destroys Las Vegas, Mandrake is distracted by the bomb flash, and Duke kills him. The nuke's shockwave causes the helicopter to crash, killing Rivet and Jasmine. Lux survives and finds Duke, who gives Lux money to start a new life before turning into a zombie. Lux kills him as a rescue helicopter arrives.

Miles exits the vault with the remaining money. He drives to Utah and rents a private plane to take him to Mexico City. On the flight, he discovers that he has been bitten.
