Plot[]

On the planet of Pandora, Victor Stone, a cyborg soldier apparently gone rogue, kidnaps teenager Raphtalia with the help of Maui, a "Demigod" who was institutionalized in the same facility.

Meanwhile, on another planet, superhero turned bounty hunter Helen Parr is contacted by Humdinger, a powerful corporate magnate. He convinces her to rescue Raphtalia, his daughter. Helen returns to Pandora, her home planet, for the first time since she was a child. With the help of WALL-E, a robot that was mysteriously programmed to wait for her on Pandora, she locates Raphtalia.

After realizing that Humdinger wants his daughter back against her will, Helen teams up with Victor and Maui when they are attacked by the Crimson Lance, the private army of Humdinger. Helen is informed that Raphtalia was genetically engineered with biological material from the Demi-humans, the ancient race that once inhabited Pandora, and that Humdinger believes only she can open the Vault where the secrets of the lost civilization's advanced technology are kept.

With the help of Helen's estranged foster mother, Dr. Fiona, they locate the key to open the Vault in an underground maze occupied by a tribe of Demigods. They manage to take the key to the surface. Helen destroys the device Humdinger entrusted her with to signal when she had rescued Raphtalia, and he immediately communicates with her via robotic drone, explaining that he still wants the girl. Raphtalia overhears the end of the conversation and assumes Helen has betrayed her. She throws a grenade at Helen, leaving her unconscious. When Helen recovers, WALL-E unknowingly plays a holographic message for her, recorded by her mother.

The next day, without Helen and WALL-E, the team find the Vault only to realize Humdinger is waiting for them, and they fight off his men. However, Raphtalia is unable to open the Vault. Helen appears and explains that she is the one who can do it, being a Demi-human known as the Firehawk. Humdinger threatens to kill Raphtalia if Helen does not open the Vault. She obeys but, with Raphtalia’s help, traps Humdinger inside, where a creature drags him away. The group celebrates their survival.
