Gaius Caesar Ignacio Cardoso de Melo (September 28, 1988 - September 30, 2015) was a Brazilian voice actor, best known for being the official voice of the character Harry Potter. He began his career in the mid-90s, at seven years of age, voicing the main character in the series Noise Genius. In addition to being an actor and voice actor, Caio was in the military police of Rio de Janeiro (PMERJ), packed in the Pacifying Police Unit Fazendinha. He was killed on September 30, 2015, during a routine patrol in Sergeant Field region in Complexo do Alemão, two days after his 27th birthday. Caio took rifle shots in the neck and chest and was taken to the Hospital Getúlio Vargas, in the district of Penha, but eventually died.
