- Susie (Narrator): Hello. I'm Susie, and I'm gonna tell you the story of the Concrete Rain. It all started with the entrance of the evil Professor Coldheart. You can read along with me if you want. And remember to hear this sound.
- (Magical Tune)
- Susie (Narrator): Yep, that's the sound, then you will know it's time to turn the page. Let's begin now.
- Susie (Narrator): Professor Coldheart was devising his most ingenious scheme ever. He and Frostbite were building a machine to put a plan into action.
- Professor Coldheart: Once we're airborn, the entire world will quake before my might!
- Frostbite: Well, we seem to have enough oil, all right.
- (Magical Tune)
- Susie (Narrator): Later, I, Susie, was practicing skating, when I lost my balance.
- Susie: Boy, I wish there was more sidewalk, more concrete.
- Susie (Narrator): So I decided to throw my skate away. But when I did, Professor Coldheart came over.
- Susie: Who are you?
- Professor Coldheart: Professor Coldheart's the name, and concrete is my game.
- Susie: Concrete! That's what we could use more of!
- Professor Coldheart: Concrete's wonderful, child. No better surface in the world for skating.
- Susie (Narrator): If I stuck with him, there would be no problems.
- (Magical Tune)
- Susie (Narrator): Up in the clouds, the Care Bears heard this conversation.
- Friend Bear: Professor Coldheart seems to like it though.
- Susie (Narrator): They jumped in their car and drove off to see me.
- Susie: I'll have a fantastic time.
- Cheer Bear: Not if Professor Coldheart is your playmate, Susie.
- Friend Bear: Professor Coldheart is nobody's friend. Professor Coldheart is trouble.
- Susie: Anyone who wants to make more concrete is a friend of mine.
- Susie (Narrator): Then I ran off. Friend Bear was disappointed.
- Friend Bear: Susie's in big trouble!
- Share Bear: We'd better go straight to Coldheart's castle before it's too late!
- (Magical Tune)
- Susie (Narrator): Quick as a wink, the Care Bears raced to Professor Coldheart's lab and found out his plan. But they were too late.
- Professor Coldheart: Your job is to shovel the cement into the mixer. Let's see those blasted fuzzy-wuzzies stop me now.
- Susie (Narrator): The Care Bears got here in time to see Coldheart's plane fly off. He used his evil deeds to make every person uncaring. The Care Bears feared he would ruin them.
- Share Bear: I'll go to the Forest of Feelings and ask the Care Bear Cousins for help.
- Cheer Bear: I'll follow Professor Coldheart and the Cloudmobile. The rest of you go back to the park in case he lands there.
- Susie (Narrator): And that's just what they did.
- (Magical Tune)
- Susie (Narrator): In the sky, Coldheart and Frostbite did their dastardly deeds. They spread concrete cement all over the grass. And that's not all, it was all over the park.
- Lotsa Heart Elephant: He's ruined the park.
- Loyal Heart Dog: And I don't think he's gonna stop here.
- Susie (Narrator): Suddenly, Cheer Bear drove into her car and went after Coldheart. She tried to rescue me to no avail, but Professor Coldheart dropped cement on her.
- Professor Coldheart: I know how much you Care Bears like presents. Well, here's a big one from me!
- Susie (Narrator): The car broke the cement, but it was still in one piece. It was payback time!
- (Magical Tune)
- Susie (Narrator): I was busy doing Coldheart a solid, but I didn't seem to like it. That's when Cheer Bear started searching for me. With the coast clear, Cheer Bear hid herself into a bag and came out.
- Susie: I just wanted someplace to skate.
- Cheer Bear: There are plenty of places to skate, but look!
- Susie (Narrator): This was all my fault! The park was ruined because of me. But when Professor Coldheart accidentally pulled the lever, me and Cheer Bear escaped his plane.
- Lotsa Heart Elephant: Cousins Call!
- Susie (Narrator): Me and Cheer Bear got down in the nick of time. Then the Care Bears did their Care Bear Stare to make the rain melt the concrete.
- Lotsa Heart Elephant: I think it's going to rain!
- Susie (Narrator): That's where he's right. But from now on, I was gonna have a picnic on the grass before I skated. Professor Coldheart's plan was ruined because of the Care Bears.
- Professor Coldheart: If you were doing your job, my plane wouldn't be wrecked!
- Susie (Narrator): Yes, it was a beautiful day. I got to have lunch with the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins. What more could a girl ask for?
