(The next morning, the girls start to head off for the mine. The first one to leave is Belle, but not before she talks to Cornelius.)

Belle: Now don't forget, my boy. The ol' Goblin King's a sly one, full of sorcery. So beware of strangers.

Cornelius: Don't worry. I'll be alright. (Kisses Belle on the cheek.) See you tonight.

Belle: (chuckling sheepishly) Uh, come on girls. (Cinderella is next.)

Cinderella: Be awful careful. Cause if anything happened to ya I'd-- (Cornelius kisses her on the cheek as well.)

Cornelius: Goodbye.

Cinderella: (blushing) OH, GOSH!

(Meanwhile, the other princesses are still inside getting ready to leave for work. Merida, however, is disgusted by the way Cornelius kissed the other girls.)

Merida: Heh. Disgusting! (Ariel is up next.)

Ariel: (beginning) And be sure to-wa to-wa to-wa watch out! (Cornelius kisses her on the forehead right before she sneezes.) Thanks! (Just as Sofia comes up to Cornelius, Ariel lets out a loud sneeze that is more like a blustery wind that blows Sofia back into the cottage. After Sofia recovers she comes out of the cottage and puckers up, but Cornelius just bends her head down and kisses her forehead. Sofia just feels giddy and runs to the back of the house and to the front again and puckers up. Cornelius just laughs.)

Cornelius: Well... all right. (He kisses her forehead again.) But that's the last--

(Sofia zooms to the back and front again like a blur and puckers up one more time. But Cornelius just pushes her forward gently.)

Cornelius: (laughing) Oh! Go on, run along.

(As the girls are singing their song, Merida is the last to walk up to Cornelius.)

Cornelius: Good-bye. (Merida clears her throat) Good-bye! (Merida clears her throat one more time and Cornelius turns to her.)

Merida: Now I'm warnin' ya. Don't let nobody or nothin in the house!

Cornelius: (surprised) Why, Merida! You do care.

(He bends down to kiss Merida on the forehead as well, but Merida doesn't want it unlike the others. She tries to get away but Cornelius holds onto her head tightly and kisses her forehead. Merida then storms off in a grouchy mood, but suddenly she stops and turns to Merida and actually smiles and sighs at him, showing that she really does care about him. As soon as Cornelius blows her a kiss, she goes back to her grouchy look and storms off again, not looking where she's going and falls into the lake under the bridge. She manages to get out.)

Cornelius: Goodbye, Merida!

(But Merida storms off all wet and soggy in a humph.)
