Dorian Gale is the main protagonist of The Sorceress of Oz and the gender bent version of Dorothy Gale. He is an ordinary boy from Kansas who runs away from home when his nasty neighbor Mister Gump threatens to file a lawsuit to take/demolish his family's farm and tries to kill his dog Maple. But when a kind gypsy named Madame Maisel convinces him that his family and friends care about him, he goes back. He is swept up in a tornado and sent to the magical land of Oz. Glindar the warlock of the north sends him on a quest to find the local Sorceress to help him get home and escape the clutches of his archenemy, the Wicked Warlock of the West who is after the Ruby Sneakers Dorian got from his dead brother. Along the way he befriends the Scarecrowette, Tin Woman, and Cowardly Lioness (Old Hannah, Hillary, and Zelda in Kansas) who all want something from the Sorceress as well.
