(Ben Elf/Young Tod hops on a stone wall alongside the road and manages to catch up to the widow. He jumps as a shot barely misses him. Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed looks and sees Ben/Young Tod)
Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed: (shocked) Ben!
(She looks behind. Wise Old Elf/Amos is still firing. Ben/Young Tod hops in the back of the car, where Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed is storing her milk containers. Cedric/Amos takes aim and fires, putting holes in all the containers. Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed tries to maintain control of the car. Suddenly, she slams on the brakes, apparently fed up. She gets out and stands in the middle of the road, looking extremely angry. Cedric/Amos stomps on the brakes, stopping just in front of her)
Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed: (angry) Wise Old Elf, you trigger-happy lunatic! (louder) Give me that gun!
(She snatches the gun away from him and cocks it. Cedric/Amos covers his eyes. A shot is heard, followed by a hissing noise. Cedric/Amos looks in horror)
Wise Old Elf/Amos Slade: My radiator! Why you blasted female! I'll... I'll...
(She jabs the gun in his chest)
Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed: Hold it! Right there!
Wise Olf Elf/Amos Slade: (concerned) Watch it! That thing's loaded!
(She points the gun to the sky and shoots. Ben Elf/Young Tod looks very frightened)
Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed: Now it ain't loaded!
(She throws the gun back to Cedric/Amos and crosses her arms in anger)
Wise Old Elf/Amos Slade: (angry) Dagnnabit, woman! Your thievin' elf was after my chickens!
Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed: (angry) Rubbish and poppycock! I don't believe it! He wouldn't hurt a thing!
(Cedric/Amos getting up in Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed's face in anger (and love) as Dilophosaurus/Chief growls angrily)
Wise Old Elf/Amos Slade: You callin' me a liar, you muddle-headed female?! I saw it happen!
Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed: (preachy) Wise Old Elf, that temper of yours is gonna get you into a lot of trouble someday!
Wise Olf Elf/Amos Slade: (even angrier) TEMPER!!!!! TEMPER!!!!! WOMAN, YOU AIN'T SEEN MY TEMPER!!!!!
(Cedric/Amos angrily stomps onto the ground and makes Ben Elf/Young Tod scared whilst Dilophosaurus/Chief growls angrily at him)
Wise Old Elf/Amos Slade: If I ever catch that elf on my property again, I'll blast him! And next time I won't miss!

(Cut to outside of Cedric/Amos's house. Mr. Pinkerton/Adult Copper) is in his barrel, ashamed of what just happened. Cedric/Amos storms out of the house with his rifle).
Mr. Pinkerton/Adult Copper: (ashamed) Poor Dilophosaurus, and it's all my fault! I shouldn't have let John go!
(Cedric/Amos continues walking over to Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed's house, storming past Edna/Big Mama's tree)
Freddy Fox/Dinky: (shaking Edna/Big Mama awake out of worry) Edna! Wake up! Wake up! (Edna/Big Mama wakes up) There's trouble! (as Freddy/Dinky points to Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed's house)
(Cut over to the exterior of Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed's house. Inside the house, the fairy is knitting while Mr. Elf/Adult Tod is sleeping inside a basket. He is awaken by angry knocking.)
Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed: John, what is it? (knocking gets even louder, frightening Mr. Elf/Adult Tod and causing him to hide under the stove) What on earth?!
(Cut to Cedric/Amos outside of her house, infuriated)
Wise Old Elf/Amos Slade: (angry) Nanny, get out here!
(She opens the door)
Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed: (angry) Why Cedric! What are you-
Wise Old Elf/Amos Slade: (yelling in Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed's face) Where is he?! Where is he?! I know he's in there!
(Cedric/Amos and Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed push each other. Nanny/Widow pushes him away)
Nanny Plum/Widow Tweed: (angry) Now just a moment! You just can't come barging onto my property, Wise Olf Elf! (she slams the door in his face in anger.)
Wise Old Elf/Amos Slade: (yelling from outside) That elf of yours almost killed Dilophosaurus and I'm gonna get him! (Nanny/Widow looks the door) You can't keep him locked up forever!
(Nanny/Widow sighs sadly and looks at Mr. Elf/Tod, who is hiding under the stove, now knowing that her friend is no longer safe.)

Trivia[]

Rufus and the badger share their voice actor, John McIntire, who was Jeanette Nolan's husband in real life. In The Fox and the Hound, Jeanette voiced Widow Tweed while John McIntire voiced the badger. They also voiced characters together in The Rescuers.
Deacon Owl and the porcupine share their voice actor, John Fiedler, who voiced Sexton Mouse in Robin Hood and Piglet in Winnie the Pooh for 37 years.
