Nobita Nobi, (born 7 August), is one of the two main protagonists of the Doraemon anime series. He is a fourth grader and is 10 years old in Tokyo's Nerima Ward and an only child.
He was voiced by Yoshiko Ota in original 1973 Japanese anime, Hiroko Maruyama in the 1979 Japanese anime, Megumi Oohara in the 2005 anime, Steven Bednarski in the Canadian 1979 English dub, Denise Tan in the Singaporean 1979 English dub, Johnny Yong Bosch in the 2005 English dub and Muriel Hofmann in the 2005 UK dub.
Appearance[]
Nobita is a kid with raven black hair who wears round glasses, a red or yellow polo shirt with a white collar, and dark blue shorts. He also wears white socks that cover his feet. He wears blue shoes.
Personality[]
Nobita's character flaws are nearly endless: he is lazy, uncoordinated, dim-witted, frail, plain-looking, unlucky and bad at sports. His typical day consists of arriving late on classes, scoring zeros in his tests, getting lectured by his teacher, being bullied by his classmates Gian and Suneo, falling into curbside rain gutters, being chased by dogs and getting grounded by his mother for his sloth and poor academic results.
Despite his flaws, Nobita possesses some unique talents such as his unrivaled marksmanship and ability to weave intricate string figures. Although Nobita is usually portrayed as being cowardly, he has often risked his life to help save others or even entire civilizations (as seen in full-length stories). While Nobita is lazy and unmotivated, he can be very serious and responsible at times. Nobita also has a talent for finding unusual applications for Doraemon's gadgets, and to abuse them, which usually gets him into trouble.
Despite everything, Doraemon succeeds on his mission, as seen in several episodes in which they travel to the future and the short Nobita's Night before a Wedding. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and has a son who, in a generational role reversal, bullies Gian's son. In Doraemon Plus Nobita is a fifth-grader. This event becomes the most important event in human history. Later most episodes interfere with their video game.
Being Corrupted by Doraemon's Gadgets:[]
Despite of all these kind-hearted, and laid-back actions he has done over the past times, Nobita is shown to have a very villainous of his. It is shown that in some occasions Nobita would be corrupted by the power of the gadgets that Doraemon gives to him in order to support him in life, which causes him to always uses it for personal gains after he sees how useful the gadgets he has does. Of course, this resulted in him backstabbing Doraemon a lot of times, betraying Doraemon's trust and used these given gadgets for his own benefits.
Which he uses it to gain fame, torment his bullies, get away with all the troubles he was supposed to face, harassing/get back on those who have grudges against him, sometimes, he would be so corrupted by those gadgets that he would be extremely arrogant, sarcastic, violent, reckless, irresponsible, manipulative, annoying, inconsiderate, selfish, perverted (sometimes), and even becoming a God wannabe as well.
As well as being extremely over-confident, and self-centered because he thoughted that these gadgets would make him unstoppable since nobody in his century can bypass the effects of the technologies that are centuries ahead of theirs.
However, there are a few occasions in which Nobita did realize his flaws of using the gadgets the wrong way and he did repent for his mistakes, but these sort of occasions have proven to happen very less, because, sometimes, in order for him to stop these chaotic situations that he created by himself, is either for him to suffer from random KARMA of his actions, or for someone else that has an advantage in bypassing the gadgets he's wielding teaches him a lesson.

Nobita is seemingly a person who possesses the traits of someone who is weak, and can easily be injured by the things that can harm a normal human being.

In multiple occasions, Nobita would become extremely arrogant because the gadgets he's wielding are technologies that are centuries ahead of his own era. Which he wouldn't try to come up with any backup plans in-case if the gadgets turned useless. However, it depends on what kind of gadgets he uses.
