Plot:[]
In Ancient Greece, after imprisoning the Titans beneath the ocean, the rulers of the Greek gods, King Ford and his wife Queen Wendy, have a son named Kristoff on Mount Olympus. While the other gods are joyful, Ford's jealous younger brother Robert Callaghan plots to overthrow Ford and rule Olympus. Turning to the Fates for help, Callaghan learns that in eighteen years, a planetary alignment will allow him to locate and free the Titans to conquer Olympus, but only if Kristoff does not interfere. Callaghan sends his minions Alistair Krei and Li'l Gideon to dispose of Kristoff. The two succeed at kidnapping the infant and feeding him a formula that turns him mortal, but fail to remove his superhuman strength before Kristoff is found and adopted by the farmers Hans and Elsa.
Years later, the teenage Kristoff becomes an outcast due to his strength, and wonders where he came from. After his foster parents reveal the Olympian necklace they found him with, Kristoff decides to visit the temple of Ford for answers. The temple's statue of Ford comes to life and reveals all to Kristoff, telling him that he can regain his godhood by becoming a true hero. Ford sends Kristoff and his forgotten infant reindeer friend Sven to find a blue jay named Mordecai and a raccoon named Rigby, who are known for training heroes. They meet Mordecai and Rigby, who have been retired due to numerous disappointments, but Kristoff inspires him to follow his dream to train a true hero that will be recognized by the gods. Mordecai and Rigby train Kristoff into a potential hero, and they head towards Thebes. On the way, they meet Anna, a sarcastic damsel whom Kristoff saves from Drago Bludvist. After Kristoff and the others leave, Anna is revealed to be Callaghan's minion, who sold her soul to him to save an unfaithful lover.
Arriving in Thebes, Kristoff is turned down by the downtrodden citizens until Anna appears, saying that two boys have become trapped in a gorge. Kristoff saves them, unaware that they are Alistair Krei and Li'l Gideon in disguise, and unwittingly releases the giant robot monster Kentucky Kaiju. Kristoff defeats it and becomes a celebrated hero, but despite Kristoff's growing fame and defeating every subsequent monster Kristoff unleashes, Ford tells him he is not yet a "true" hero. Saddened and frustrated, Kristoff spends a day out with Anna, who realizes she has fallen in love with him. Callaghan learns of this and on the eve of his takeover, he holds Anna hostage and offers her in exchange for Kristoff surrendering his powers for a day. On the condition that Anna will be unharmed, he accepts, and is heartbroken when Callaghan reveals that Anna was working for him.
Callaghan unleashes the Titans, who climb Olympus and capture the gods, while Nega-Globby goes to Thebes to kill Kristoff. Kristoff defeats Nega-Globby; Anna saves him from a falling pillar and is mortally injured. This breaks Callaghan's promise that Anna would not be harmed, and allows Kristoff to regain his strength. Kristoff and Sven go to Olympus where they free the gods and vanquish the Titans, but Anna dies before he returns to her.
With Anna's soul now Callaghan's property, Kristoff breaks into the Underworld and offers to free Anna from the Styx in exchange for his own life. His willingness to sacrifice himself restores his godhood and immortality before the life-draining river can kill him; he rescues Anna and punches Callaghan into the Styx, where irate souls pull him under. After reviving Anna, she and Kristoff are summoned to Olympus, where Ford and Wendy welcome their son home. However, Kristoff chooses to give up his godhood and remain on Earth with Anna in lieu of living on Olympus. Kristoff and his friends return to Thebes, where they watch Ford etch Kristoff's image into the stars to commemorate his heroism.
