Snow White is the main protagonist of the South Korean animated film Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs.

She is King White's daughter, Queen Regina's stepdaughter, and Merlin's love interest. She is a reimagining of the classic fairy tale princess Snow White.

Appearance

Snow White is a chubby girl with fair skin, silky chestnut brown hair with bangs on the right side, hazel-brown eyes, and rose pink lips.

She wears a short-sleeved, knee-length dress with a white bodice and a red, satin skirt with pale red swirly designs coming up from the hem. The neckline of her dress is square and embroidered, and dusky rose-colored laces crisscross partway down the bodice. There is a broad, dusky rose-colored band around her waist.

When wearing her stepmother’s mysterious, magical red shoes, Snow White transforms into a slim, "beautiful" version of herself (Red Shoes). She switches back and forth between her normal self and Red Shoes throughout the movie.

Personality

Snow White is extremely kind, honest, and gracious, seeing the beauty in others even when they cannot see it within themselves. She is also socially intelligent; upon donning the red shoes, she quickly recognizes that people are more willing to help her, so she remains as Red Shoes in front of people for a majority of the time despite disliking it.

She is brave, loyal, and selfless, willing to give herself up to Prince Average when he and his army come to attack the F7's home. She also willingly eats the apple given to her by Queen Regina to save Merlin—even though she knows the apple is poisoned.

As her normal self, Snow White is very physically strong and confident in her body.

Story

Princess Snow White grew up on Fairy Tale Island and was raised by her father, King White, after her mother passed away. She resembles her father, who raised her with all the love that he could give her. Her father calls her a beautiful young woman at the beginning of the film before meeting her step-mother, Queen Regina.

While investigating her father's office for clues about his disappearance, she discovers the tree that creates the red shoes. She puts the red shoes on once they form, unknowingly changing into Red Shoes, and uses a broomstick to flee from Regina upon the queen discovering her.

Snow White meets the F7 after crashing into a tree and wandering into their home. Initially, the F7 thinks a witch has invaded their home and prepares to attack, only for most of them to become immediately smitten by Red Shoes' beauty; however, Hans is unaware and knocks her out. When she wakes up, she's surprised by her appearance and introduces herself as Red Shoes. The F7, hoping for a kiss to break their curse, immediately agrees to help her find her father.

She thus sets out with the F7 to search for King White while also avoiding Prince Average and his soldiers, whom Regina tasks with finding Snow White under the promise that he can bring the princess to his birthday party. Throughout the movie, the various members of F7 try to woo her; they are largely unsuccessful except for Merlin, whom Snow White starts to fall in love with as they spend more time together. The two discuss their appearances and curses, and Snow White notes that Merlin probably wouldn't have helped her if she had given up the red shoes.

Eventually, Snow White gets captured by Regina and is forced to turn into an apple tree for Regina's red shoes. After Merlin defeats Regina, Snow White changes back to a human and finally reunites with her father. She kisses Merlin when Pino, Noki and Kio bring him to her, breaking his curse.

Some time after the events of the movie, Snow White and Merlin get married.
