When angry or excited, he glows red, then breathes out fire like most dragons. Flames can get a little feisty around strangers, but once they get to know him, he's fine. He dislikes Emmy at first, but later becomes friends, and has a strong liking for Max. He also doesn't like being left-out.
Powers and Abilities:[]
Flames can breathe fire and hot steam. His flames can disintegrate anything, except if it is fireproof and nonflammable. it may depend on the power used. Seems to have a good sense of smell and sense of tracking after tracking the track of the van. If he is wet, however, he cannot breath fire until he is dry. Although, this doesn't stop him from being able to swim.

When Emmy first met Flames he laughed, because he was small. Flames got angry and breathed fire at her, frightening Emmy. Matches was then told off by Mrs. Firewood. Max met Flames next.
When Emmy and Max were preparing for the mightiest monsters to arrive, they went to the kitchen that Mrs. Firewood was making swamp brownies and Flames lit the fire with his flames. The brownies turned out to be made of swamp water and a chock-full of mosquitos.
After the monsters arrived, Flames became left out and sad. Melvina made a fire proof robe for him. Cyrano sent a dragon bat to hypnotize Cassie. Shaggy took the girls for a "field trip". Flames wanted to go, but Mrs. Firewood told him to stay. Mrs. Firewood's scorpion stew was frozen and Flames left to go to this "field trip". Emmy was attacked by Nefaria and Flames saved Emmy and breathed fire on Nefaria. The Firewood girls were captured by the dragon bats and send to Castle Cyrano. Nefaria traps Emmy and the gang in a well of water and a Will-Dwayne appears and Matches tries to breathe fire, but his flames went out by the water. Max plays back with Flames, Emmy, and Will-Dwayne. The Dwayne gets the ball and lets the gang out and it was almost midnight. Emmy and Cassie try pushing the wall for a secret entrance but there was no time since it was almost midnight and Emmy and Cassie fall into the secret passage way in the wall. Nefaria grabs Emmy and Cassie and Penelope and Tanja tried pulling, but they were distracted by some boys fighting spider bats. Nefaria broke through the wall and grabs Max, Ord, Zak, Wheezie, and Flames, but Flames was still out of steam to breathe fire. Cyrano ordered the girls to go back, or he would turn the gang into something worse than toads (Emmy turned into a toad). A dragon bat saw Emmy and tries to eat her, but they knocked down some ingredients into the formula and Flames breathes fire at the dragon bat. Nefaria also got burned by Flames. Alice threw the wand into the formula and the castle was about to explode. Scooby and the others got out, while Cyrano and Nefaria tried getting out with their flying brooms, but caught in the explosion, falling to the low ground beneath them. A celebration after Cyrano and Nefaria's defeat was at Firewood school. The Firewood girls and Flames waved goodbye to the gang as they left (after Emmy & Max saw the new students).
