- Kids: (singing) Franklin is a green turtle from our imagination. And when he's tall, he's what we call, A turtle sensation! Franklin's friends are big and small, they come from lots of places. After school they meet to play and sing with happy faces. Franklin shows us lots of things like how to play pretend, ABC's and 123's, and how to be a friend. Franklin comes to play with us whenever we may meet him, Franklin can be your friend too, if you just make-believe him!

- (The scene opens up with Franklin the Turtle going up to the tree house finishing the song, "And the Green Grass Grows All Around")

- (Franklin sees the viewers)
- Franklin: Oh, hi there, it's good to see you! Isn't it a beautiful day? It's the kind of day that makes me want to sing. And I just love to sing songs, don't you? We're gonna here lots of my favorite songs today. And you can sing along with me. You can sing about everything. Things that you love to do, or places you like to go, your favorite animals, even things that you hear. Why, sometimes just seeing friends like you makes me want to sing!
- (The musical note goes to a scene to the song, "Look Through the Window", from the episode "Room for Everyone". Franklin begins the song by walking to the school window)

- Franklin: I can see my friends through the window so easily because they're all growing every day.

- (They sniff)

- (They sniff one more time, Benny is cooking something)

- Benny: Welcome to my kitchen. It's my favorite room in the house. 'Cause I like to help my grandma and grandpa cook.
- Franklin: Well, speaking of meals, Benny, what are you cooking that smells so delicious?
- Benny: Why, it's my very best alphabet soup. Would you like to help make it?
- Tickety, Isa, and Boots: Oh, sure!
- Franklin: We'd love to! Oh, boy! Yum, yum, yum!
- (Everyone grabs letters of the alphabet as the song begins)
- Franklin, Tickety, Benny, Isa, and Boots: (singing) Oh we're all right here, making alphabet soup. And we know we're gonna have some fun. 'Cause we're gonna take letters of the alphabet, and put 'em in one by one.
- Benny: Here's an E!

- Franklin: When we talk, we've got two choices. We can use either one of our two voices. My indoor voice is kind of quiet, like a kitty who just meowed.

- Tickety and Boots: And my outdoor voice is fun to try it. 'Cause it's big and strong and loud.
- Franklin: (sings) When we're in school or riding in a car, it's our indoor voice we use. We can still have fun, no matter where we are. With a quiet voice we choose.
- Franklin, Benny, and Isa: (singing) And when we use both voices every day, it's easy to decide which one. We use our indoor here and our outdoor there. And we know they both are fun.

- Tickety: What is it?
- Franklin: It's called, Pumpernickel Bread.
- Dora, Boots, Shovel, and Tickety: Pumpernickel?
- Franklin: Pumper, pumper, pumper, pumper.
- Shovel: That's a very funny name.
- Franklin: For a very tasty bread.

- Franklin: Our tree house is so much fun! We can look out over the neighborhood and see everything that's happening. There are toys to play with, and clothes to dress up in, and play pretend. But do you know what makes the tree house most special? It's having friends like you here to play with.

- (Dora, Isa, and Tickety are creating and cutting paper while Franklin dances as the song begins)

- (The scene changes to Bear and Periwinkle singing in the tree house)
