Honey Possum.jpg

The honey possum (Tarsipes rostratus) is a small, mouse-sized marsupial endemic to the woodlands of south-west Western Australia. Despite their name, honey possums don't actually eat honey, instead surviving on a diet of nectar and pollen. Honey possums have the smallest newborns, the largest testes relative to body size, and the largest sperm of any mammal. The honey possum is also known as the noolbenger in Australia.
