Jim Henson (1936-1990) was an American puppeteer and the creator of the popular Muppets franchise. He created and voiced Kermit the Frog, Ernie, Harvey Monster, Little Bird, Herry Monster, Rowlf the Dog, Waldorf, Swedish Chef, Dr. Teeth, the Newsman, Mack, Wilkins and Wontkins, Yorick, Harry the Hipster, and many other Muppet characters.
