Unable to sleep for several nights, Lisa is convinced that there is a monster lurking in her closet despite her mother's plea that it's all in her mind. The real trouble, it turns out, is the villainous Auntie Freeze, who has been hiding in her room and scaring her for her own amusement.
When Tenderheart Bear, Brave Heart Lion, Bedtime Bear, and Share Bear travel to Earth to help convince her that there's nothing to worry about, they are shocked to find Professor Coldheart also using the closet as a trap to afflict the bears with his latest device: the Magic Mirror. Once hit with the mirror's rays, the bear's personalities become reversed, and they quickly leave the scene without actually helping Lisa with anything.
