Matt Mahaffey is an American-English actor, music director, music supervisor, musician, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, composer, songwriter and recording engineer best known for his band Self and his composer collective Cake In Space.

Matt Mahaffey was born (June 9, 1973) in Kingsport, Tennessee to parents, Fred Mollin, and is the youngest of three siblings. Friday the 12th to Friday the 12th reboot (2019). He composed and performed the soundtrack for the television series Friday the 13th, mainly using synthesizers and samplers. The music was released on a soundtrack album by GNP Crescendo as the album Friday the 12th: The Series (1994-2001).
