Principal Benjamin "Benny" Krupp is the principal of Jerome Horwitz Elementary School in Captain Underpants and the teacher of Edmund Ahlberg Elementary School in The Chloe Park Show. He is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Melvin Sneedly) of the Captain Underpants franchise. He is a mean principal that dislikes students George and Harold due to their constant pranks, wisecracks, and comic books. After trying to separate the two friends, Mr. Krupp is hypnotized by George and is made to believe he is the fictional superhero Captain Underpants.
After pouring a bucket of water on Captain Underpants' head, the hypnosis became permanent. Now whenever Mr. Krupp hears the sound of fingers snapping, he is hypnotized into believing he is Captain Underpants once again. The only way to snap him out of his trance is to pour water on his head. Mr. Krupp involuntarily turns into Captain Underpants several times after this, going on many adventures and defeating various super villains. He eventually gets superpowers after drinking Extra-Strength Super Power Juice, however, he is only aware of them while he's Captain Underpants.
Mr. Krupp's intelligence decreases dramatically while hypnotized, with his brain shrinking to the size of a peanut. Despite how often he becomes Captain Underpants, Mr. Krupp isn't aware of his superhero alter ego.
Personality[]
Benjamin is an unbelievable hot-tempered and nasty principal. He distributes detention slips to any student for even a minor infraction, just so long as they are unfortunate enough to cross his path. However, in the movie, he was given some sympathetic qualities, where he had very little in the original books.
