Commonly found in flat sands and reefs. this shark is recognized by the cone-shaped barbels on its snout. At night, the Pacific angelshark uses the light emitted by certain plankton to find its prey. When a fish passes through the swarm, the plankton give out light, which gives away its location to the hungry angelshark.
