  • (Thomas puffs past a windmill, hauling Annie and Clarabel, and runs underneath 'Thomas and Friends Logo', and passes 'Based on The Railway Series' by The Reverend Wilbert Awdry)
  • (Thomas puffs underneath a bridge and the logo 'Not So Hasty Cakes and Other Stories')

Not So Hasty Cakes (Michael Brandon)[]

  • Narrator: It was Christmas time on the Island of Sodor and Sir Topham Hatt's engines were busy. (Dwight D. Eisonhower travels along the line, hauling a Canadian Pacific, four Gresley teak coaches, Strasburg coach, and some Polar Express coaches) The snow made their journeys difficult. (Duchess of Hamilton travels along the line, hauling seven freight cars and a caboose, and passes Tillie hauling her Birthday Train) They had to work hard to deliver passengers and goods to their destinations of time. (No. 957 puffs along, pulling a red and yellow coach, a boxcar, and a coal car) This made the engines feel very reliable. (Bluebell puffs along, hauling two red and yellow coaches, and passes Lord of the Isles hauling her three red and yellow coaches) Elizabeth pulled into the fitters yard with Thomas' snowplough.
  • Thomas: I don't need that silly old thing.
  • Narrator: Huffed Thomas.
  • Elizabeth: Stuff and nonsense.
  • Narrator: Steamed Elizabeth.
  • Elizabeth: You can't be a reliable engine if you can't get through the snow.
  • Narrator: That made Thomas cross.
  • Thomas: (You know I'm reliable. (puffs along, looking tired, wearing his snowplough, and hauling Annie and Clarabel) I just don't like my snowplough. Elizabeth is rude.
  • Narrator: Thomas chuffed.
  • Thomas: And this snowplough makes my buffers ache.
  • Narrator: Later, Thomas saw Sir Topham Hatt talking to Elizabeth.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: The Sodor Cake Factory is snowed in. Their Christmas cakes must get to the docks before the ship sails for the mainland.
  • Thomas: Let me do the job.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I need you on your line, Thomas. (Thomas is surprised) Besides, Elizabeth knows those roads well. She's very reliable.
  • Thomas: (sad) I'm reliable too.
  • Narrator: Huffed Thomas.
  • Elizabeth: Apparently not reliable enough.
  • Narrator: Elizabeth chuffed. Now Thomas was crosser still. (Thomas is tired) The snow was heavy, but Thomas arrived at every station right on time. (Thomas, confused, puffs along, hauling Annie and Clarabel, and arrives at every station, feeling happy) Elizabeth was struggling to stay on the road. Her wheels did not like the slippery ice at all. When Thomas arrived at the docks to pick up Terence, he was surprised that Elizabeth had not returned. (as Mallard goes by, hauling a Canadian Pacific, four Gresley teak coaches, Strasburg coach, and some Polar Express coaches, Thomas arrives and couples up to a flatcar, carrying Terence, another flatcar, and a caboose)
  • Dock Manager: The ship will miss the tide.
  • Narrator: Said the dock manager.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: And the children won't have their Christmas cakes. Thomas, go and look for Elizabeth at once.
  • Thomas: Yes sir.
  • Narrator: Answered Thomas.
  • Thomas: Perhaps Elizabeth isn't so reliable after all.
  • Narrator: He whispered. At the cake factory, Elizabeth was piled high with crates of Christmas cakes.
  • Elizabeth: Sir Topham Hatt's counting on me. I mustn't be late.
  • Narrator: She chuffed onto the icy road. Suddenly, she was on a steep hill. Her drive applied the brakes. Elizabeth slid out of control into a deep snowdrift. Poor Elizabeth. Thomas and Terence puffed through the swirling snow. (Thomas pounds onward, hauling two flatcars, carrying Terence, and a caboose) They couldn't see Elizabeth anywhere. Soon, they spotted her driver. He was standing by the level crossing.
  • Elizabeth's Driver: Elizabeth is stuck under the snow.
  • Narrator: Her driver explained.
  • Elizabeth's Driver: I need help to dig her out.
  • Narrator: Terence rescued her in no time.
  • Thomas: We will have to hurry.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: It wasn't you fault, Elizabeth, it's the slippery roads.
  • Narrator Elizabeth felt much better. Thomas chuffed and puffed as fast as he could. (Thomas puffs away, carrying Terence and Elizabeth on his flatcars and caboose) They reached the docks just in time. Sir Topham Hatt was delighted to see the bakery crates and that Elizabeth was safe and well.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: We'll get you unloaded immediately.
  • Thomas: Now the children will have their Christmas cakes.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Well done.
  • Narrator: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Elizabeth: Oh, thank you, Thomas.
  • Narrator: Said Elizabeth.
  • Elizabeth: You and I are both reliable.
  • Narrator: Thomas agreed.

Coming Up Next[]

  • James passes by, hauling a stone car, a tarp car, a boxcar, a milk boxcar, a chocolate car, a milk wagon, a banana boxcar, and a caboose.

Snow (Alec Baldwin)[]

  • Narrator: It was wintertime on the Island of Sodor. (snow has covered Sodor) The snow covered fields and railway lines. All the engines were hard at work, except Percy. (a hard at work Percy is stuck as a surprised Thomas arrives)
  • Thomas: (confused) Come on, Percy, this is no time to have a rest.
  • Percy: I'm stuck.
  • Narrator: Moaned Percy.
  • Percy: And my funnel's freezing up. Driver's gone for help.
  • Thomas: (annoyed) Hah! (puffs away)
  • Narrator: Huffed Thomas and went on his way. Later, Thomas had to help clear snow by a tunnel. But it was too deep and he got stuck. Thomas was very cross.
  • Thomas: (tired) Snow is nothing but trouble.
  • Narrator: He moaned. Rusty was close by.
  • Rusty: (hauling a breakdown train) Driver says this winter is as bad as the worse winter of all.
  • Thomas: (sad) How worse?
  • Narrator: Asked Thomas.
  • Rusty: (hauling a breakdown train) I'll tell you.
  • Narrator: Replied Rusty and then the little engine did. Skarloey was working the line to the slate mine in the mountains. (Skarloey puffs along the line, hauling seven freight cars and a caboose) When the snow came, (snow has come with Melissa and Emma standing away from it, looking sad) it was difficult to work. (Pete and Silver Fish are cross with the snow) They used the snow as a double buffer zone to help stop cars skidding through the ravine. One day, Skarloey set off to the mine with some empty cars. (Skarloey puffs along the line, hauling his seven freight cars and caboose) Meanwhile, there was trouble at the mine. The winch that holds the cars up and down wasn't working properly. Skarloey had reached the ravine. High above him were the mine yards.
  • Skarloey's Driver: That snow looks dangerous.
  • Narrator: Said his driver.
  • Skarloey's Driver: The sound of your engine and the freight cars could cause an avalanche. I'll set up an emergency cap and see what happens.
  • Narrator: Skarloey watched as the driver prepared it. Then they ran over the cap. (Skarloey puffs along the line, hauling his seven freight cars and caboose)
  • (Boom!)
  • Narrator: The bang echoed around the gorge. Nothing happened.
  • Skarloey's Driver: Good.
  • Narrator: Said his driver.
  • Skarloey's Driver: All's well. We'll have a cup of cocoa and then make our way.
  • Narrator: But high above them, all was not well. A long line of full cars was about be winched down the slope. They had just started their journey when some empty cars became derailed. The winch groaned. (seven freight cars go down and six others go by and derail)
  • Freight Cars: Break it, snap it.
  • Narrator: Shouted the freight cars and they did.
  • Freight Cars: On, on, faster, faster! (the seven freight cars fall)
  • Narrator: They giggled.
  • Workman: The snowbank and buffers will stop them.
  • Narrator: Said a workman. But he was wrong. The freight cars plunged into the ravine. Skarloey and his driver heard the noise and looked up.
  • Skarloey's Driver: Avalanche!
  • Narrator: They cried.
  • (The avalanche starts to bury Skarloey completely)
  • Narrator: When the snow ploomed clear, there was no sign of Skarloey. He was buried deep inside the high drift blocking the ravine.
  • Rusty: And then came the funny part.
  • Thomas: (tired) What's the funny part about an avalanche?
  • Narrator: Asked Thomas.
  • Rusty: Well...
  • Narrator: No one knew that the heat from Skarloey's engine had helped to make an igloo. (as Peter Sam arrives, hauling Agnes, Ruth, Jemima, Lucy, and Beatrice, Rusty arrives with the breakdown train)
  • Man #1: It's a snowball.
  • Man #2: It's a snowhouse.
  • Man #3: It's an engine!
  • Narrator: They cleared away the ice only to find Skarloey's driver and fireman drinking hot cocoa as if nothing had happened.
  • Thomas: Lucky for him. But it just goes to show you can't trust freight cars.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Rusty: Or snow.
  • Narrator: Said Rusty. The men had just cleared the snow away from him when Gordon puffed by with his machine.
  • Gordon: Hey look out, there's snow about. (arrives with his snow machine)
  • Narrator: He stopped by the tunnel and wheeshed loudly. Then it happened.
  • Gordon: Oh no.
  • (The avalanche falls on top of Gordon, completely burying him)
  • Gordon: Help!
  • Narrator: Cried Gordon.
  • Thomas: If Skarloey survived the snowfall, surely a big proud engine like you can do the same.
  • Narrator: Chuckled Gordon.
  • Gordon: Pah!
  • Narrator: Moaned Gordon from within and then fell as silent as the snow.

Coming Up Next[]

  • Henry puffs by, hauling a red and yellow Express coach and Old Slow Coach.

Thomas's Christmas Party (Ringo Starr-US)[]

  • Narrator: It was Christmas on the Island of Sodor. All the engines were working hard. Thomas and Toby were busy carrying people and parcels up and down the branch line. (Thomas, with Annie and Clarabel, are taking several freight cars, and a caboose) Everyone was happy. Only the coaches Annie and Clarabel were complaining.
  • Annie and Clarabel: It's always the same before Christmas.
  • Narrator: They groaned.
  • Annie and Clarabel: We feel so full, we feel so full.
  • Thomas: Oh, come on!
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: Where's your festive spirit? Christmas day is almost here.
  • Narrator: By the side of the track was a little cottage with a familiar figure waving to them.
  • Thomas: It's Mrs. Kyndley!
  • Narrator: Whistled Thomas.
  • Thomas: Peep, peep! Happy christmas!
  • Narrator: Thomas always felt better for seeing her.
  • Thomas: Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without Mrs. Kyndley.
  • Narrator: He said to himself. When work was over, Thomas went to see the other engines. All their coats had been polished.
  • Gordon: Pooh!
  • Narrator: Said Gordon.
  • Gordon: Just look at us. Your driver will have to work fast to get you as smart as us.
  • Thomas: Never mind that.
  • Narrator: Replied Thomas.
  • Thomas: I've something important to say. Do you realize it's been a whole year since Mrs. Kyndley saved us from a nasty accident. You remember when she was ill in bed and...
  • Edward: Yes of course.
  • Narrator: Interrupted Edward.
  • Edward: You told us how she waved her red dressing gown out of her window to warn you about a landslide ahead.
  • Percy: And you and Toby gave her presents.
  • Narrator: Percy joined in.
  • Percy: And Sir Topham Hatt sent her to the seaside to get better.
  • James and Henry: But...
  • Narrator: Said the other engines.
  • James and Henry: The rest of us never thanked her properly.
  • Thomas: Exactly.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: So now I think we should all give her a special Christmas party.
  • Narrator: Everyone was getting very excited and the drivers felt sure that Sir Topham Hatt will agree as indeed he did. The engines were all busy making plans, when silence fell. Sir Topham Hatt had bad news.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: The weather's changed badly. Mrs. Kyndley is snowed up. Toby says he'll help to rescue her. You must help too, Thomas. There's no party unless you do.
  • Narrator: Thomas hated snow, but he said bravely.
  • Thomas: I'll try, sir. We must rescue her, we must.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: There's a good engine. You and Toby will manage splendidly.
  • Narrator: Thomas charged the snowdrifts fiercely. Sometimes he swept them aside, sometimes they stuck fast and the men had to loosen them. But at the cutting near the cottage, they could go no further.
  • Thomas' Fireman: Look at that!
  • Narrator: Exclaimed Thomas' fireman.
  • Thomas: Peep, peep! Here we are.
  • Narrator: An answering wave came from an upstairs window. Then they heard a familiar sound.
  • Thomas: That's Terence the Tractor.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: He's come to help too.
  • Narrator: Sure enough, Terence had a snowplough and was working hard to clear a patch to the railroad line to safety. At long last, the rescue was complete. Percy took the tired workmen home. Terence said goodbye to Mrs. Kyndley and promised to take care of her cottage as he watched them all set off. The engines made good time. No more snow had fallen, but the yard was dark. There was no one to be seen. Thomas' heart sank. Suddenly, all the lights went on. What a marvelous site awaited Mrs. Kyndley.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Well done!
  • Narrator: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I'm really proud of you all.
  • Narrator: Mrs. Kyndley especially thanked the smaller engines.
  • Mrs. Kyndley: Thomas and Toby are old friends.
  • Narrator: She said.
  • Mrs. Kyndley: And now Percy, you are my friend too.
  • Narrator: Percy was very pleased.
  • Percy: Three cheers for Mrs. Kyndley!
  • Narrator: He called.
  • Percy: Peep, peep, peep!
  • Narrator:: They all whistled.
  • Engines: (singing) We wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
  • Narrator: Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends thought it was the best Christmas ever and Mrs. Kyndley could think of nowhere should rather live than here with them on the Island of Sodor.

Coming Up Next[]

  • Toby goes by, hauling Henrietta.

Thomas and the Missing Christmas Tree (George Carlin)[]

  • Narrator: It was two days before Christmas. Many children were expected on the Island of Sodor. (Thomas puffs along his branchline, hauling Annie and Clarabel) All the engines were busy with the final preparations. Sir Topham Hatt wanted this year's carol party to be an extra special celebration. (James speeds through, hauling seven freight cars and a caboose, past Percy, while Gordon passes by, hauling his red and yellow Express coach and Old Slow Coach) Sir Topham Hatt was now waiting impatiently for Thomas. (Thomas arrives with a flatcar and caboose)
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Quickly now.
  • Narrator: He said.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Our Christmas tree has arrived just in time. I want you to fetch it, Thomas. Duck can look after Annie and Clarabel until you get back.
  • Thomas: Will we be able to sing carols too?
  • Narrator: Asked Thomas.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: We'll see.
  • Narrator: Promised Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Thomas: It would be nice to sing carols again. (as Edward goes by, hauling a green and yellow coach, Catherine the Culdee Fell Coach, and a red Sodor Brass Band coach, Thomas sets off past Duck, who looks after his seven coaches)
  • Narrator: Sighed Thomas as he set off on his important mission. Thomas collected the tree safely but large snowdrifts lay ahead. (Thomas crashes into some large snowdrifts and gets buried under the snow, which covers him up)
  • Thomas: I musn't be late.
  • Narrator: He thought.
  • Thomas: Sir Topham Hatt is relying on me.
  • Narrator: Whistling bravely, Thomas tried to move. But he couldn't. There was worse to come. Thomas was snowed under. Meanwhile the other engines waited and waited. They were grumbling about Thomas for being late. (as a freight train goes by, Henry, Gordon, Donald, and Douglas are arguing about Thomas)
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Silence!
  • Narrator: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Thomas left the works safely, but snow had brought the telephone lines down. We must assume he is stranded.
  • Narrator: The engines now felt sorry for Thomas and cold but confident the twins set off to the rescue. Suddenly, they came to a drift that was deeper than the rest. (Donald and Douglas set off to the rescue with Edward and James with a van coupled between their tenders following)
  • Thomas: Help!
  • Donald: Hush!
  • Narrator: Said Donald.
  • Donald: I can hear something.
  • Douglas: Probally the wind.
  • Narrator: Said Douglas.
  • Thomas: Help!
  • Donald: No listen.
  • Narrator: Insisted Donald.
  • Thomas: Over here!
  • Douglas: Oh, it's Thomas. Come on the poor wee engine must be frozen to the frames in there.
  • Narrator: When the workmen arrived, it took some time to decide how to dig away the drifts of snow. Thomas' driver and fireman, who had taken shelter at a nearby cottage, joined the rescue. At last, Thomas and the precious Christmas tree were free from the snowdrift. Then they set off once more to finish their long journey. Sir Topham Hatt greeted them warmly. (Donald, Douglas, Thomas, James, and Edward return home with the Christmas Tree)
  • Sir Topham Hatt: As a reward for all your hard work, you may go and enjoy the carols. Be quick now.
  • Narrator: At the big station, all was soon ready. (the engines obey and head toward the big station)
  • Sir Topham Hatt: One, two, three!
  • Narrator: Suddenly like magic the station was flooded with lights.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Ladies and gentlemen and children, i give you three cheers for Thomas the Tank Engine and all his friends who had made this occasion possible.
  • Narrator: Suddenly there was a strange whirring sound. Percy and Toby smiled, they knew who it was. With landing lights shining brightly, Harold the Helicopter touched down gently in the snow. Bringing the greatest surprise of all, Santa Claus. Everyone cheered and the party began.
  • Thomas: It's no fun getting stuck in the snow.
  • Narrator: Whispered Thomas to Percy.
  • Thomas: But it was worth it for this party. Happy Holiday, Percy. Happy Holiday, everyone.

Coming Up Next[]

  • Edward goes by, hauling a green and yellow coach, Catherine the Culdee Fell Coach, a red Sodor Brass Band coach.

Terence the Tractor (George Carlin)[]

  • Narrator: Autumn had come to the Island of Sodor. (as Thomas goes by, hauling his two coaches, Annie and Clarabel, he passes an orange tractor named Terence, who is plowing a field) The fields were changing from yellow stubble to brown earth and an tractor was hard at work as Thomas puff along. Later Thomas saw the tractor close by. (Thomas arrives to meet Terence again)
  • Terence: Hello.
  • Narrator: Said the tractor.
  • Terence: I'm Terence, I'm plowing.
  • Thomas: I'm Thomas, I'm pulling a train. What ugly wheels you got.
  • Terence: They're not ugly, they're caterpillars.
  • Narrator: Said Terence.
  • Terence: I can go anywhere. I don't need rails.
  • Thomas: I don't want to go anywhere.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: I like my rails, thank you. (Thomas leaves)
  • Narrator: Winter came with dark clouds full of snow.
  • Driver: I don't like it.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas' driver.
  • Driver: A heavy fall is coming. I hope it doesn't stop us.
  • Thomas: Huh!
  • Narrator: Puffed Thomas.
  • Thomas: Soft stuff, nothing to it.
  • Narrator: And he puffed on feeling cold but confident. They finished their journey safely but by now the country was covered.
  • Driver: You need your snowplough for the next journey, Thomas. (as Thomas arrives, he is told to wear his snowplough)
  • Narrator: Said his driver.
  • Thomas: Huh! Snow is silly soft stuff. It won't stop me. (shakes and bangs the heavy and uncomfortable snowplough apart)
  • Narrator: The snowplough was heavy and uncomfortable and made Thomas cross. He shook it and he banged it and when they got back it was so damaged that the driver had to take it off.
  • Driver: You're a very naughty engine. (Thomas is left in his shed, locked up)
  • Narrator: He said to Thomas. Next morning, Thomas' driver and fireman came early and worked hard to mend the snowplough, but they couldn't make it fit. Thomas was pleased. (Thomas sets off with two coaches again)
  • Thomas: I shan't have to wear it, I shan't have to wear it.
  • Narrator: He puffed to Annie and Clarabel. But they were rather worried.
  • Annie and Clarabel: I hope it's all right, I hope it's all right.
  • Narrator: They whispered to each other. The driver was worried too.
  • Driver: It's not bad here.
  • Narrator: He said to the fireman. (Thomas departs Knapford station for Ffarquhar with his two coaches, Annie and Clarabel)
  • Driver: But it's sure to be deep in the valley.
  • Thomas: Silly soft stuff.
  • Narrator: Huffed Thomas.
  • Thomas: I didn't need that stupid old thing yesterday and i shan't today. Snow can't stop me.
  • George Carlin: He rushed into a tunnel thinking how clever he was. But there was trouble ahead. (Thomas just has to scream in fear, before he crashes into a large snowdrift)
  • Thomas: Cinders and ashes!.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: I'm stuck.
  • Narrator: And he was.
  • Driver: Back, Thomas, back. (Thomas obeys, but is still stuck)
  • Narrator: Said his driver. Thomas tried but his wheels spun and he couldn't move. The conductor went back for help while everyone else tried to dig the snow away. But as fast as they dug, more snow slipped down until Thomas was nearly buried.
  • Thomas: Oh, my wheels and coupling rods. I shall have to stop here till i'm frozen. What a silly engine i am.
  • Narrator: And Thomas began to cry. At last, a bus came to rescue the passengers. And then who should come to Thomas's rescue but Terence. Snow never worries him. (Terence arrives and hooks up to Clarabel and pulls her and Annie out of the snow)
  • Narrator: He pulled the empty coaches away, then came back for Thomas. (Terence hooks up to Thomas and pulls him out of the snow) Thomas' wheels were clear but still spun when he tried to move. Terence tugged and slipped and slipped and tugged and at last dragged Thomas clear of the snow ready for the journey home. (Terence goes away into the tunnel with Thomas following him and coupling up to his two coaches)
  • Thomas: Oh, thank you, Terence. Your caterpillars are splendid.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Driver: I hope you'll be sensible now, Thomas.
  • Narrator: Said his driver.
  • Thomas: I'll try.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas and he puffed slowly away. (Thomas promises and puffs backward)

Thomas and Percy's Mountain Adventure (George Carlin)[]

  • Narrator: If someday you should see Thomas the Tank Engine puffing happily along the line, he may be on his way to a village nestled deep in the heart of the Island of Sodor. One December morning, Thomas whistled to all his friends. (Thomas chuffs over the valley, hauling Annie and Clarabel, before Bertie arrives)
  • Thomas: It's nearly Christmas and I'll bring you lots of letters and parcels. (Thomas puffs away, hauling seven freight cars, and a caboose)
  • Narrator: But then, an early snowstorm came. The island was covered with thick snow. The engines found work difficult. (the engines are trying to pull some wagons out of the snow, but aren't succeeding, and are plowing through the snow) Some had to help clear snow from the track and workmen halfed away at the frozen banks of ice. Thomas and Percy were collecting important mail for Christmas.
  • Thomas: Driver says there's of mail for the village.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: I'll need an extra car for it all.
  • Narrator: Percy was feeling left out.
  • Percy: It's not fair, you're not leaving any mail for me.
  • Narrator: But Percy's chance had come.
  • Thomas' Driver: There's been a change of plan.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas' driver.
  • Thomas' Driver: Sir Topham Hatt needs us at the big station. Percy, you are to take Thomas' train to the village.
  • Narrator: Percy was delighted, but Thomas was sad.
  • Thomas: I won't be able to say happy Christmas to all my friends.
  • Percy: Don't worry.
  • Narrator: Said Percy kindly.
  • Percy: I'll do it for you.
  • Thomas: It's not the same.
  • Narrator: Sighed Thomas. (Thomas puffs away, while Percy takes Thomas's mail cars toward the village, but stops) Percy was making good time on his way to the village when suddenly...
  • Percy's Driver: What's that?
  • Narrator: Called his driver. There ahead was a fogman by the line. He was holding a red light.
  • Fogman: The village is cut off by the snow.
  • Narrator: He shouted.
  • Fogman: We need snowplows, workmen and a helicopter. Leave your cars on the sidings and go back quickly. (Percy obeys and leaves his mail cars in a siding and hurries to an airfield to wake Harold up)
  • Narrator: Percy was soon steaming to Harold's airfield.
  • Percy: Peep, peep!
  • Narrator: Whistled Percy.
  • Percy: Wake up, lazy-wings, the mountain villagers need your help. They're stranded.
  • Harold: With so.
  • Narrator: Replied Harold.
  • Harold: I like an emergency to keep me warm. (wakes up and starts flying)
  • Narrator: And he buzzed away.
  • Percy: Now.
  • Narrator: Sighed Percy.
  • Percy: What's next?
  • Narrator: Suddenly, there was Thomas with Terence the Tractor and the works train. (Thomas, Terence, and the works train travel toward the village with Percy following)
  • Thomas: Come on, Percy.
  • Narrator: Whistled Thomas.
  • Thomas: Follow me.
  • Narrator: The two engines battled their way through the snow. At last, they reached the village. Harold was already there busily dropping food to people and animals. Terence quickly got to work.
  • Terence: Lovely stuff.
  • Narrator: He said as he pushed the snow aside.
  • Villagers: Well done, Percy. Well done, Thomas.
  • Narrator: Cheered the villagers.
  • Villagers: You're the best Santa Claus this village has ever had!
  • Percy: What's a Santa Claus?
  • Narrator: Asked Percy.
  • Thomas: Santa Claus is someone who drops presents down chimneys at Christmas time.
  • Narrator: Percy looked at his funnel.
  • Percy: I wonder if...
  • Thomas: No!
  • Narrator: Laughed Thomas.
  • Thomas: Chimneys, Percy, not funnels. Which reminds me, your mail train is still back at the siding isn't it?
  • Narrator: Percy hurried back to fetch it. Just then, Toby arrived with Henrietta. (Percy hurries back to fetch the mail train, while Toby, Henrietta, Victoria, and Elsie arrive to see Thomas)
  • Toby: We've brought lots of hot drinks and food for the villagers.
  • Narrator: He whistled. That night all the engines had gone back to the sheds, except Toby. The villagers had made a plan to thank the engines. They loaded paint pots and parcels into Henrietta and then they set off through the moonlit countryside. All the engines were fast asleep in the sheds as Toby ran silently into the yard. (Toby and Henrietta run along toward Tidmouth sheds) He had no idea what the villagers were going to do, but he knew it was going to be a big surprise. When the engines woke the next morning they could not believe their eyes. The sheds had been repainted and decorated. The engines whistled in delight and everyone agreed that it was a really happy Christmas.

It's Only Snow (Alec Baldwin)[]

  • Narrator: It's winter holiday time on the Island of Sodor. (Bluebell puffs along, hauling his two red and yellow coaches, goes Wellsworth station, and passes Lord of the Isles, who goes by, hauling her three red and yellow coaches, and also goes through Wellsworth station) It's very cold, but the engines don't mind. (Mallard pulls into Tidmouth station, hauling a Canadian Pacific coach, four Gresley teak coaches, and some Polar Express coaches, and as Duchess of Hamilton goes by, hauling seven freight cars and a caboose, Tillie enters, hauling her Birthday Train cars) They love this time of year when the stations look jolly in their decorations. (as 957 goes by, hauling a red and yellow coach, a boxcar, and a coal car, and passes through Elsbridge station, Dwight D. Eisonhower goes by, hauling some freight cars and a caboose and passes through Elsbridge station) There is plenty of work with passengers and parcels to be delivered no matter what the weather. (at Knapford station, Thomas pulls into Platform 1, hauling Annie and Clarabel, and meets Henry at Platform 2 and hauling his red and yellow Express coach and Old Slow Coach, Edward at Platform 3 and hauling a green and yellow coach, Catherine the Culdee Fell coach, and Stephen's blue coaches, and James at Platform 4, hauling another green and yellow coach, a Sodor Brass Band coach, and Henrietta)
  • Edward: Driver says there's more snow on the way.
  • Narrator: Said Edward.
  • James: We'll soon be wearing our snowploughs.
  • Narrator: Said James.
  • Henry: You'll enjoy that. Won't you, Thomas?
  • Narrator: Teased Henry.
  • Thomas: You know I won't.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: I don't like my snowplough. (puffs away, hauling Annie and Clarabel
  • Narrator: Sure enough that night, the wind blew and the snow fell heavily. (snow blows all over Sodor) The next morning, Sir Topham Hatt arrived. He told the engines they would have snowploughs fitted. (Sir Topham Hatt's car arrives)
  • Sir Topham Hatt: And you are to collect a special from Callan Station. It's needed for the village feast on Toby's branch line.
  • Narrator: Thomas was excited about his special, but not about his snowplough.
  • Thomas: (tired) Please sir. My plough is awkward and uncomfortable. Do I have to wear it?
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Everyone has to wear a snowplough.
  • Narrator: Said Sir Topham Hatt. The fitters, his driver and fireman all helped with Thomas' snowplough. (Thomas is trying to get his snowplough coupled up again)
  • Thomas' Driver: We'll have to try that again.
  • Narrator: Laughed his driver.
  • Thomas: Big horrid awkward thing. (Gordon goes by, hauling his red and yellow Express coach, a red and white Knapford Express coach, and a red Express coach)
  • Narrator: Thomas grumbled. He was much happier when he arrived at Callan Station and saw his special. It was a beautiful Christmas tree. (Thomas, wearing his snowplough, backs up and couples to seven freight cars and a caboose carrying the decorations, parcels, presents, and the Christmas Tree)
  • Edward: The tree will have lights and stand in the middle of the village.
  • Narrator: Said Edward.
  • Edward: Make sure you get it to Toby safely.
  • Thomas: I will.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas. (Thomas puffs away, hauling his seven freight cars and caboose, and arrives at Maithwaite station to meet Toby, Henrietta, nine freight cars, and a caboose) Thomas arrived at Maithwaite and Toby was very happy to see him.
  • Toby: The villagers will be delighted with this tree.
  • Narrator: Toby said.
  • Toby: I'm glad you had your snowplough. I can't clear the snowdrifts by myself. (Thomas sets off, hauling his seven freight cars, and caboose, and with Toby, Henrietta, nine freight cars, and a caboose following. A hard working Thomas, his seven freight cars, and caboose, Toby, Henrietta, nine freight cars, and caboose following, carry on. A confused Thomas, his seven freight cars, and caboose, Toby, Henrietta, nine freight cars, and caboose, push on and hit a rock)
  • Narrator: Thomas couldn't see there was a huge rock buried under the snow. Suddenly, his snowplough hit the rock.
  • Thomas: (surprised) Bouncing buffers!
  • Narrator: Exclaimed Thomas.
  • Thomas: (surprised) My plough is broken!
  • Narrator: His driver tried to stop but the broken plough hit the water tower. (CRASH!)
  • Thomas: (surprised) Cinders and ashes!
  • Narrator: Exclaimed Thomas.
  • Thomas' Driver: We can't go any further.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas' driver.
  • Thomas' Driver: And there's no one to help us.
  • Thomas: (tired) But the villagers need their tree.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: (tired) Let me try again, I'm sure I can make it.
  • Narrator: It wasn't easy without a snowplough. But Thomas was determined. He pushed and he pushed and he pushed. Thomas was trying as hard as he could, but there was just one snowdrift after another. (a tired Thomas, his seven freight cars, and caboose, Toby, Henrietta, Victoria, Elsie, nine freight cars, and caboose, push on) Finally, Thomas and Toby were pulling into the village station. Thomas whistled and the villagers cheered when they saw their beautiful tree.
  • Villagers: Hooray!
  • Narrator: They said.
  • Villagers: Hooray!
  • Narrator: The next day, Sir Topham Hatt sent for Thomas. (a tired Thomas arrives) Thomas was worried. What would Sir Topham Hatt say about his broken snowplough? (1638 goes by, hauling a brown and white coach, and a red caboose) But Sir Topham Hatt wasn't cross, he was very pleased.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: The villagers had a wonderful feast.
  • Narrator: He said.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You were very brave to take on that snow without a plough.
  • Thomas: (pleased) Thank you, Sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: As you know...
  • Narrator: Continued Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: ...there are no spare snowploughs. So, you'll just have to do without yours for a while.
  • Thomas: Oh, thank you, sir.
  • Narrator: Grinned Thomas.

Coming Up Next[]

  • Gordon goes by, hauling his red and yellow Express coach, a red and white Knapford Express coach, and a red Express coach.

Jack Frost (Alec Baldwin)[]

  • Narrator: (as Bluebell puffs down the line, pulling his two red and yellow coaches, Sir Archibald Sinclair passes by, hauling a Canadian Pacific coach, four Gresley teak coaches, and some Polar Express coaches) It was an icy day on the Island of Sodor. The engines were working very hard. (as Lord of the Isles goes through Maron station, hauling her three red and yellow coaches, No. 1638 departs, hauling a red and yellow coach and a red caboose) They didn't mind the cold, (the engine room is filmed with a firebox burning) because they had toasting hot fireboxes to keep them warm. (Gordon No. 600 puffs over the viaduct, hauling a Canadian Pacific, four Gresley teak coaches, Strasburg coach, and some Polar Express coaches) That evening, Sir Topham Hatt came to the sheds.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: There's a big freeze coming tonight.
  • Narrator: He said.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: James and Percy are to deliver extra coal to the stations.
  • James and Percy: Yes sir.
  • Narrator: They said eagerly and Sir Topham Hatt drove away.
  • Thomas: You better hurry.
  • Narrator: Teased Thomas.
  • Thomas: Or scary Jack Frost might get you.
  • Percy: (tired) Who's Jack Frost?
  • Narrator: Percy whistled nervously.
  • James: (angry) Don't be so silly.
  • Narrator: Sniffed James.
  • James: (angry) Jack Frost is not scary.
  • Thomas: Yes he is.
  • Narrator: Teased Thomas.
  • Thomas: He's all white with a big spiky face.
  • James: (angry) Rubbish!
  • Narrator: Said James. James knew Jack Frost wasn't scary, (an angry James puffs away, leaving a tired Percy) but poor Percy wasn't so sure. Percy shivered. (a tired Percy puffs along, hauling eight freight cars and a caboose)
  • Percy: Jack Frost is not scary, Jack Frost is not scary, Jack Frost is not scary.
  • Narrator: Meanwhile, James puffed along his route. (an angry James puffs along, hauling eight freight cars and a caboose)
  • James: Silly Percy.
  • Narrator: He thought.
  • James: All steamed up over Jack Frost.
  • Narrator: Percy made his last delivery. The stationmaster was very pleased to see him.
  • Stationmaster: Oh, Percy.
  • Narrator: He cried.
  • Stationmaster: We need twice as much coal to last through this freeze.
  • Percy: Don't worry.
  • Narrator: Percy said.
  • Percy: This is my last stop, you can have mine.
  • Narrator: So Percy's driver parked him in a siding with only a lantern for company. (a tired Percy is on a siding)
  • Percy: (tired) Do you think scary Jack Frost will find me?
  • Narrator: Said Percy.
  • Percy's Driver: Jack Frost not scary.
  • Narrator: Chuckled his driver.
  • Percy's Driver: And don't worry, Elizabeth will bring you some more coal in the morning.
  • Narrator: And then his driver and fireman went home to bed. Late at night, the icy wind howled. It started to snow. Soon, Percy's face was so cold, an icicle hung from his nose. (a surprised Percy is getting covered in snow)
  • Percy: (surprised) Oh, b-b-b-b-bother.
  • Narrator: Percy stuttered, but it didn't sound like Percy. It was so cold, he could hardly make a sound. At last, James was on his way back to the sheds. In the fog, he saw shadows and strange and scary shapes.
  • James: (tired) Scary Jack Frost.
  • Narrator: He whispered nervously.
  • James: (angry) Pah!
  • Percy: Hello, J-J-J-J-James.
  • Narrator: Muttered Percy icily.
  • James: (scared) Scary Jack Frost! (runs away, scared)
  • Narrator: Cried James and he raced away as fast as his wheels could carry him. He didn't stop until he got back to the sheds. The next morning, Elizabeth brought plenty of coal.
  • Elizabeth: Oh my dear.
  • Narrator: Elizabeth chuffed to Percy.
  • Elizabeth: (sees a tired Percy) It looks like Jack Frost really got you.
  • Narrator: The firelighter started Percy's fire. Soon, his ice mask melted away.
  • Percy: So scary Jack Frost is only frost.
  • Narrator: Tooted Percy happily and soon he was as warm as toast. When Percy arrived at the sheds, James was bragging to the other engines.
  • James: I saw scary Jack Frost last night.
  • Narrator: James huffed.
  • James: He even knows my name.
  • Percy: He also knows that you ran away.
  • Narrator: Teased Percy and all the engines whistled including James. But Percy's was the loudest whistle of all.

Coming Up Next[]

  • Edward goes by, hauling a green and yellow coach, Catherine the Culdee Fell Coach, a red Sodor Brass Band coach.

Oliver the Snow Engine (Michael Brandon)[]

Narrator: Oliver and Duck are Great Western engines. (as Oliver goes by, hauling two mail cars and Toad, Duck goes by, hauling a red and yellow Express coach, a red and white Knapford Express coach, and a red Express coach) They deliver goods and passengers when the roads are closed by deep snow. But Oliver thinks snow is messy and cold.

  • Oliver: I'm a Great Western engine.
  • NArrator: He chuffed one day.
  • Oliver: I shouldn't have to shiver.
  • Toad: Begging your pardon, Mr. Oliver?
  • Narrator: Whispered Toad.
  • Toad: But I think snow is splendid.
  • Oliver: Huh.
  • Narrator: Later, Oliver saw some children building a giant snowman for their winter festival. (Oliver goes by, hauling Stephen's two blue coaches) Each time, Oliver passed by the snowman grew bigger (Oliver goes by, hauling Toad) and bigger (Oliver goes by, hauling four freight cars and Toad) and bigger (Oliver goes by, hauling five freight cars and Toad) and bigger. (Oliver goes by, hauling six freight cars and Toad)
  • Toad: Just an obviation, Mr. Oliver, snow is magical.
  • Oliver: Oh.
  • Narrator: Finally, the snowman was complete. Oliver chuffed back to his warm cozy shed. (Oliver goes back to his shed, taking eight freight cars and Toad with him) Sir Topham Hatt was waiting for him.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You have to return to the mountain village.
  • Narrator: He said.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Some goods are needed for the festival.
  • Oliver: But all this snow makes my wheels feel chilly.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Really useful engines work hard whenever the weather.
  • Narrator: Soon, Oliver was loaded and on his way. The snow was cold. It had frozen the points and diverted Oliver into the station sidings. (Oliver puffs onward, taking seven freight cars and Toad with him)
  • Oliver: Whoa, shiver my boiler!
  • Narrator: Cried Oliver. His driver applied the brakes.
  • Toad: Is there a problem, Mr. Oliver?
  • Oliver: Yeah, there is! Whoa!
  • Toad: That could been a little smoother.
  • Narrator: Oliver felt awful. He thought the children would be upset about their snowman. Oliver's driver went for help. Sir Topham Hatt was just leaving his office when he got the call.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Duck will bring the breakdown crane first thing in the morning.
  • Narrator: He said. Oliver's driver returned and told him the news.
  • Oliver: I'll be out here all night.
  • Narrator: Moaned Oliver
  • Driver: I'm afraid so.
  • Narrator: Luckily, the village inn had a toasty warm room for Oliver's driver. But Oliver was getting colder and colder. His fire had gone out and his funnel was covered in icicles.
  • Oliver: I was right all along. There's nothing magical about snow.
  • Narrator: Toad was beginning to think Oliver might be right.
  • Toad: Brrr!
  • Narrator: Next morning the children saw the situation.
  • Girl: Look.
  • Narrator: A little girl shouted.
  • Girl: Our snowman has eyes in his tummy.
  • Boy: No it doesn't.
  • Narrator: Laughed a little boy.
  • Boy: It's Oliver.
  • Narrator: That gave the children an idea. When Oliver woke up he was surrounded by happy children.
  • Children: Oliver's a wonderful snow engine!
  • Narrator: They cried. Oliver was so relief that suddenly he didn't feel any cold anymore. When Duck arrived with the breakdown crane, Oliver didn't want to leave. He loved the winter festival so much. (Duck arrives with the Breakdown Train)
  • Oliver: You were right, Toad.
  • Narrator: Called Oliver.
  • Oliver: There are some magical things about snow.
  • Toad: Perhaps, Mr. Oliver.
  • Narrator: Shivered Toad.
  • Oliver: Absolutely.

Coming Up Next[]

  • Thomas goes by, hauling Annie and Clarabel.

A Scarf for Percy (George Carlin)[]

  • Narrator: It was a cold winter's morning on the Island of Sodor. The wind was bitter and the ground hard with frost. Thomas and Percy were cold and cross. (a tired Thomas and a hard at work Percy are shown in the sheds)
  • Thomas: All I want is a warm boiler.
  • Narrator: Huffed Thomas.
  • Thomas: Firelighter knows that. He's late.
  • Percy: He's not late.
  • Narrator: Replied Percy.
  • Percy: This weather woke us up early.
  • Narrator: Gusts of wind swirled round the shed, tossing flakes of snow towards Thomas. (a surprised Thomas and a hard at work Percy are been blown snow) Then they swooshed round Percy too.
  • Percy: Why don't we talk about something else?
  • Narrator: Shivered Percy.
  • Thomas: Yes.
  • Narrator: Replied Thomas.
  • Thomas: Like how silly we'll look when our funnels turn into icicles.
  • Percy: That's not funny. Maybe we'll stop feeling cold if we talk about warm things-like sunshine and steam.
  • Thomas: And firefighters.
  • Narrator: muttered Thomas.
  • Percy: Scraves!
  • Narrator: Continued Percy.
  • Thomas: Scraves.
  • Narrator: Laughed Thomas.
  • Thomas: That's what you need, Percy. A woolly scarf round your funnel.
  • Narrator: Thomas was only teasing, but Percy thought happily about scraves until the firelighter came. Sir Topham Hatt was enjoying hot porridge for breakfast. He was looking foward to taking important visitors on a tour of the railway, and had pressed his special trousers.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I shall put them in my trunk and change into them just before the photographs are taken.
  • Narrator: He said to his wife. Then he set off to catch his train. (Percy puffs along, hauling three mail cars, and a caboose) Percy was now working hard. His fire was burning nicely, and he had plenty of steam, but he still thought about scarves. He saw them everywhere he went.
  • Percy: My funnel's cold! My funnel's cold! I want a scarf! I want a scarf! (Percy arrives alongside Henry)
  • Henry: Rubbish Percy! Engines don't wear scarves.
  • Narrator: Said Henry.
  • Percy: Engines with proper funnels do. (this stuns Henry) You've only got a small one.
  • Narrator: (a sad Henry blinks) Before Henry could answer, Percy puffed away. (Percy departs) Henry snorted. He was looking foward to pulling the special train. It was time for the photographs. Everyone was excited. Sir Topham Hatt was waiting on the platform for his trousers. They were in a trunk amoungst a big load of baggage. The porters were taking the baggage trolley across the line. They were walking backwards to see that nothing fell off. (Percy rolls toward the coaches, but collides into the luggage trolley, and gets covered in jam, only to have some trousers tied round his funnel, while a tophat hangs on his lamp iron) Percy was still being cheeky. His driver always shut off steam just outside the station. Percy wanted to surprise the coaches by coming in as quietly was he could. But the porters didn't hear him either. Percy gave them such a fright that boxes and bags burst everywhere. (a hard at work Percy crashes into the baggage trolley and breaks it apart)
  • Percy: OH!
  • Narrator: Groaned Percy. Sticky streams of jam trickled down Percy's face. A top hat hung on his lamp iron. Worst of all, a pair of trousers coiled lovingly round his funnel. Everyone was very angry. Sir Topham Hatt seized the top hat.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Mine! Percy look at this!
  • Percy: Yes sir. I am sir.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: My best trousers too.
  • Percy: Yes sir. Please sir.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: We must pay the passengers for their spoiled clothes, and my trousers are ruined. I hope this will teach you not to play tricks with the coaches.
  • Narrator: Percy went off to the yard. (Percy puffs away and meets James, hauling seven freight cars and a caboose) He felt very silly. On the way he met James.
  • James: Hello Percy. So you found a scarf, eh? But legs go in trousers, not funnels! (puffs away to tell Henry the news)
  • Narrator: And he puffed off to tell Henry the news. That evening, Thomas and Percy were resting in the shed. Percy's driver has taken away the trousers and gave Percy a good rubdown.
  • Thomas: Firelighter's promised to come early tomorrow.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas. Henry arrived. He'd enjoyed taking the visitors around and now he felt sorry for Percy too. (Henry arrives)
  • Henry: Driver says the weather will be warmer tomorrow. You won't need a scarf, Percy.
  • Percy: Certainly not!
  • Narrator: Replied Percy.
  • Percy: Engines don't need scarves. Engines need warm boilers. Everyone knows that!

Coming Up Next[]

  • Percy goes by, hauling two mail cars and a caboose.

Thomas and the Statue (Michael Brandon)[]

  • Narrator: Thomas and The Statue. Winter was coming to the Island of Sodor. The leaves have fallen from the trees and fog rolled over the countryside. One chilly morning, Sir Topham Hatt came to Tidmouth Sheds. He had a special announcement to make.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: A statue is to be put up at Peel Station.
  • Narrator: He said.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: It will celebrate the Sodor Railway.
  • Narrator: The engines were very excited. Thomas was to collect the statue from Brendam Docks.
  • Percy: I wonder what it will be?
  • Narrator: Peeped Percy.
  • Thomas: As soon as I find out.
  • Narrator: Puffed Thomas.
  • Thomas: I'll come back and tell you. (puffs away)
  • Narrator: And he steamed away. But when Thomas arrived at the docks, Cranky was still unloading the statue.
  • Thomas: (arrives) Hurry up, Cranky.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: I wanna be the first to see it.
  • Narrator: Cranky didn't like being rushed.
  • Cranky: Why are so excited to see the statue? You think it's gonna be of you?
  • Narrator: He scuffed. Thomas didn't say anything. He was too busy watching the workmen open the crate. The statue was covered by a large waterproof sheet. It had a very familiar look. There was a tall funnel shape at the front and then a wide shape at the back. The shape was just like Thomas' shape. Suddenly, Thomas was very excited.
  • Thomas: Perhaps...
  • Narrator: He whistled.
  • Thomas: It really could be of me.
  • Narrator: That night, Thomas couldn't wait wait to tell the other engines about his statue. But when he arrived at the sheds, all the engines were asleep. (Thomas arrives back) Thomas was too excited to sleep. He peeped his whistle to wake Percy up.
  • Thomas: (whispering) Percy, Percy! I think this statue was of me.
  • Narrator: Boasted Thomas.
  • Percy: (tired) Really, Thomas?
  • Narrator: Yawned Percy.
  • Percy: (yawning) That's nice.
  • Thomas: It will be wonderful to have my very own statue.
  • Narrator: Tooted Thomas. He couldn't wait for morning to come. The following day, Sir Topham Hatt told the engines they were go to the washdown. All except Thomas. He was to collect more things for the statue. First Thomas went to Wellsworth Station. He was to collect the special block for the statue standoff. (Thomas couples up to a flatcar carrying the special block and meets up with Edward hauling a green and yellow coach, Catherine the Culdee Fell coach, Annie, and Clarabel)
  • Thomas: Are you looking forward to seeing my statue?
  • Narrator: He called to Edward.
  • Edward: It might not be your statue.
  • Narrator: Huffed Edward. But Thomas wasn't listening. Thomas arrived at Maithwaite Station. He had to collect to special podium for Sir Topham Hatt to standoff. (Thomas puffs away with his first flatcar and collects the special podium on another flatcar and meets up with Emily hauling her two green and yellow coaches)
  • Thomas: Look!
  • Narrator: Thomas cried to Emily.
  • Thomas: Sir Topham Hatt will make a speech when they uncover my statue.
  • Emily: (cross) Who says it's going to be your statue?
  • Narrator: Emily huffed.
  • Thomas: You'll see.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas and he wheeshed away. (Thomas puffs away, taking his two flatcars carrying the special block and the special podium) Percy arrived as Thomas' trucks were being unloaded. (Percy arrives and meets Thomas with his three flatcars) Thomas started to talk to Percy about his statue again.
  • Percy: Please stop talking about your statue.
  • Narrator: Peeped Percy. Thomas was surprised. (a surprised Thomas gasps)
  • Percy: No one wants to hear about it anymore. No one wants to talk to you anymore. (a tired Thomas frowns)
  • Narrator: Percy added crossly.
  • Percy: And neither do I.
  • Narrator: Thomas was left all alone. No one was talking to him. Thomas felt very sad. Thomas steamed toward Tidmouth Sheds. It had started to snow heavenly. (a tired Thomas puffs away, taking his three flatcars with him) But Thomas kept going as fast as he could. He had to try to put things right with his friends. But when he arrived at Tidmouth, Sir Topham Hatt was there. He looked worried.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: The tracks at Peel Station are blocked. None of you will be able to get to the ceremony.
  • Narrator: He said sternly.
  • Thomas: I'll clear the tracks.
  • Narrator: Tooted Thomas.
  • Thomas: I don't want any of you to miss the party.
  • Narrator: The other engines were very surprised. (Gordon looks sad, a tired Percy, an exhausted Edward, and a worried Emily look worried. A sad Henry and a tired James are stunned) They knew Thomas didn't like his snowplough and clearing the tracks would make Thomas late to see his statue. But Sir Topham Hatt was pleased.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You must work very hard, Thomas.
  • Narrator: He boomed.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: There's a lot to do.
  • Narrator: Thomas steamed off. (Thomas puffs away, taking his flatcars, plus Annie, and Clarabel, with him, and wearing his snowplough) He could not let them down. Thomas felt silly for showing off. No wonder no one was talking to him. There was still a lot of tracks to clear. Thanks to Thomas, everyone was able to get to Peel Station. They gathered nearby. The statue was covered in snow. But the sun had started to shine and the snow began to melt. Sir Topham Hatt told everyone how proud he was of all his engines. But the engines were still thinking about Thomas. And they were still cross. Just then, there was a loud swooshing noise. A big patches of snow slid off the statue. Then another. Then another. The last of the snow fell to the ground. The engines were so surprised.
  • Gordon: That's not Thomas.
  • Narrator: Gasped Gordon.
  • Percy: No, it's of all of us!
  • Narrator: Peeped Percy. Everyone was very excited. Then, Thomas rolled up. (Thomas arrives with his three flatcars) He was very surprised when he saw the statue.
  • Thomas: (surprised) It's not of me at all!
  • Narrator: He cried. Thomas was very relieved and very happy.
  • Thomas: (tired) I'm sorry that I made you all cross.
  • Narrator: He puffed.
  • Thomas: (happy) I think this statue of us all is the best statue that could ever be.
  • Narrator: And all the engines agreed.
