Plot[]

In 1920, when the Humans ruled over Furry India, tyrannical governor Killian and his sadistic wife Gladys visit a forest in Adilabad and forcefully take away Marie, a young kitten with a gift for singing, from the Furry tribe. The tribe's protector Red heads off to Delhi in search of the missing kitten.

The Nizamate of Hyderabad warns Killian's office about Red's mission. Officer M. Wolf volunteers to catch Red in order to get a promotion. He attends a meeting of independence activists and proposes to assassinate Killian. Red's aide Z asks Wolf to join them but flees after realising that Wolf is a police officer. Wolf and Red coincidentally meet, working together to save a boy caught in a train crash. They bond with each other while hiding their original identities. Wolf helps Red get close to Killian's non human niece Gadget Hackwrench. Red visits the governor's palace at Gadget's invitation, where he finds Marie and promises to return to rescue her. Wolf captures Z, torturing him in vain for information, but Z gets a banded krait snake to bite Wolf, warning him that he will die in an hour without an antidote known only to the Furry people. Wolf finds his way to Red, who makes the antidote and confesses his true identity and mission. Red and his men break into the palace during a gala with a truck full of wild animals. A recovered Wolf arrives in his police uniform and fights Red, who is forced to surrender when Killian threatens to shoot Marie.

In a flashback, Wolf's father, Grey, was a rebel who sacrificed his life fighting the Humans. Wolf promised a dying Grey that he would deliver guns to everyone taking part in the rebellion, and then infiltrated the colonial police in an attempt to secure those weapons.

Wolf is promoted for capturing Red, who is sentenced to the public flogging at Wolf's paws. Killian offers Red mercy if he kneels and recants his crimes, but Red refuses despite being heavily injured. He sings a defiant song that inspires a riot. Wolf is informed that he will be placed in charge of a large arms shipment, granting him the opportunity to steal a large number of Human made guns. However, Wolf feels guilty and is inspired by Red's song, deciding to rescue Red and Marie. He asks Killian to execute Red on the outskirts of the city, during which he stages an ambush. Killian injures Wolf, but Red frees himself and fights the remaining guards while Wolf shoots and kills a guard menacing Marie. Assuming Wolf was trying to kill Marie, Red knocks him out and escapes with Marie, leaving Wolf to be arrested.

A few months later, Wolf is being starved in prison while Red and his men are hiding in Hathras. When Humans soldiers arrive looking for Red, Diane Foxington, Wolf's cousin and fiancée, drives them away by claiming that the building is infected with smallpox. She tells Red of Wolf's mission and that Wolf was arrested for "saving his best friend". Red promises to bring Wolf back to Diane. With the help of the blueprint given by Gadget, Red infiltrates the prison and frees Wolf, mounting him on his shoulders to transport him. Together, they fight the police and escape. As Red treats Wolf's wounds in the woods, they are ambushed by special forces soldiers. Wolf takes a bow and arrows brought by Red from a shrine of Lord Rama while Red joins him with a spear, killing many soldiers together. They attack Killian's palace by launching a flaming motorcycle into a room full of TNT, setting off a massive chain reaction that destroys the building and kills Gladys. Red retrieves a massive cache of guns and delivers them to Wolf. Wolf shoots Killian with an arrow and Red kills him with one of the retrieved rifles.

They reunite with Diane, Gadget, and their allies. Wolf promises to educate Red. Wolf returns to his village and delivers the weapons, fulfilling his promise, while Red reunites Marie with her mother.
