The Adventures of Maddox Monk: The Movie is a 2019 sci-fi horror comedy teen movie directed by JJ Abrams, Tim Burton, and Rian Johnson and created by Disney, Point Grey, Pixar, and Source Filmmaker, starring Zachary Gordon, Jason Drucker, DAGames, Lizze Broadway, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Bill Skarsgard. It has been adapted from a Pixar short film with the same name. This story follows a 16-year-old psychologist who was trapped in the laboratory, and usually had to embark on the quest to the Rage Virus's palace and stop the invasion once and for all. It is scheduled to be theatrically released on November 29th, 2019 on Disney+.
Plot[]
In September 2022, 16-year-old psychologist Maddox Monk received a letter from his mother, Elizabeth Monk, who invited him to the laboratory. Maddox agreed and headed for the Aperture Science Enrichment Center. Maddox explored the lab and collected all the office relics and placed them on the relic stand, then started the Carrier of Rage Virus he found, only to be chased by a lunatic with a kitchen knife. After the chase, Maddox climbed in the pipe and started to dream. The water flows around Maddox, he picked himself up and shook off the water. Maddox picked up the rusty old crowbar and cleared the path, and found the satanic ritual room. Maddox got hallucinated by horror visions and fell to the ground. When Maddox found Cartoon Bendy, he took Maddox to the city of BNL. Maddox entered the restaurant and ordered some food. Maddox bought some cheeseburgers, milkshakes, soda, root beer floats, and French fries. After the meal, Maddox challenged the Screenslaver into a battle. But Patrick Bateman came and chased Maddox again. The chase kept on until Maddox knocked down the water tower by shooting one ink arrow from a crossbow. The water tower collapsed, crushed Patrick Bateman, killing him. All the characters cheered for Maddox, he found out the information about the Rage Virus. So he united with the characters to revolt against the epidemic. Maddox and the new clan raced northwest to the gateway to the fitness center. After Maddox passed the tests, he found HAL 9000's lair and pressed the PLAY button on the audio log. When HAL 9000 activates, Maddox, Bendy, Luxo Jr., and WALL-E work together to defeat the artificial intelligence. Maddox encountered the derrick and headed to The Enormous Crocodile's lair which was employed by the Infected. When Maddox, Luxo Jr., Bendy, and WALL-E are spotted, this huge croc ordered the infected animals to chase Maddox's butt down. Maddox finally escaped the derrick and headed for Alien Intruder's lair. When Maddox encountered the alien fish, Intruder slammed Maddox to the wall. Maddox is forced to kill the alien fish. The Enormous Crocodile was furious and he charged at Maddox to kill him with rage. Suddenly, Norman Bates stabbed the crocodile through the stomach, killing the reptile, saving Maddox's life. Norman agreed to trust Maddox. As well as Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and Bo. Even Maddox's friends from school accepted the quest and led Maddox's way. Maddox found the city. Only to encounter the enraged Sentry Turret, Block-Eye. He accused Maddox for disobedience, Dalton knocked Block-Eye's parts down, revealing a defective turret. Block-Eye threw Maddox to the ground and was about to shoot him. Woody abruptly brained Block-Eye, destroying the irritable android. Maddox was about to cross the bridge, he fell to the administration vault. Maddox fixed the pipe so the water in the halls can drain so Maddox can go through it. Maddox found out the Rage Virus took one of the cassettes, Norman let Maddox go to the Rage Virus's palace. Maddox's gang continued him to wade across the ocean and to the entrance. Maddox entered the Carrier and got into a throne room. Maddox pressed PLAY on Elizabeth's cassette. Elizabeth on the recording told Maddox about the RV's weakness: The End Cassette would save us all. Before Maddox could place a cassette on the VCR that was beside the throne, the Rage Virus transforms into the beastly version of the Rage Virus himself and chased Maddox down the halls. Maddox reentered the throne room and finally placed the End Cassette on the VCR, the End activates, projecting the videos on the walls, causing the Rage Virus to disintegrate when he sees it. Flashback to the condo, Maddox found Elizabeth who was in the kitchen. She told Maddox about her "crooked empire" and her road burned. So she thanked Maddox for pushing her to do the right thing. She invited Maddox to the lab again. Maddox agreed and entered the lab, saying the lines from the beginning of the movie. Looks like Maddox and the gang are stuck in the loop while venturing out into the test chambers again.
