Summary:[]
This spoof feature follows the adventures of the young Samson (Simba), the heir of his father, Dan (Mufasa). Samson's wicked uncle, Slade (Scar), plots to usurp Dan's throne by luring father and son into a stampede of bison. But Samson escapes, and only Dan is killed. Samson returns as an adult to take back his homeland from Slade with the help of his friends Kenai, Godfrey and Daniel (Timon), and Pedro (Pumbaa).
Plot:[]
In the Clowder Lands of North America, a clowder of cougars rule over the kingdom from Clowder Rock. King Dan (Mufasa) and Queen Maria (Sarabi)'s newborn son, Samson (Simba), is presented to the gathering animals by Raymond the raccoon (Rafiki), the kingdom's shaman and advisor. Dan's younger brother, Slade (Scar), covets the throne.
After Samson grows into a cub, Dan shows him the Clowder Lands and explains the responsibilities of kingship and the "circle of life," which connects all living things. One day, Samson and his best friend Natalie (Nala) explore a mammoth graveyard, where the two are chased by four grey wolves named Gretchen, Luger, Niju, and Zekuru (Shenzi, Banzai and Ed). Dan is alerted by his majordomo, the crow Jeremy (Zazu), and rescues the cubs. Though disappointed with Samson for disobeying him and putting himself and Natalie in danger, Dan forgives him and explains that the great kings of the past watch over them from the night sky, from which he will one day watch over Samson. Slade, having planned the attack, visits the wolves and convinces them to help him kill both Dan and Samson in exchange for hunting rights in the Clowder Lands.
Slade sets a trap for Samson and Dan, luring Samson into a gorge and having the wolves drive a large herd of bison into a stampede to trample him. Dan saves Samson but winds up hanging perilously from the gorge's edge; he begs for Slade's help, but Slade throws Dan back into the stampede to his death. Slade tricks Samson into believing that the event was his fault and tells him to leave the kingdom and never return. He then orders the wolves to kill Samson, who escapes. Unaware of Samson's survival, Slade tells the Clowder that the stampede killed both his brother and nephew and steps forward as the new king, allowing the wolves into the Clowder Lands.
After he collapses in a desert, Samson is rescued by four outcasts, a Kodiak bear, two moles and a peccary named Kenai, Godfrey, Daniel, and Pedro. Samson grows up with his two new friends in their oasis, living a carefree life under their motto "hakuna matata" ("no worries" in Tlingit). Years later, an adult Samson rescues Godfrey, Daniel and Pedro from a hungry cougar, who turns out to be Natalie. Samson and Natalie fall in love, and she urges him to return home, telling him that the Clowder Lands have become drought-stricken under Slade's reign. Still feeling guilty over Dan's death, Samson refuses and storms off. He encounters Raymond, who tells Samson that Dan's spirit lives on in him. Samson is visited by the spirit of Dan in the night sky, who tells him that he must take his place as king. After Raymond advises him to learn from the past instead of running from it, Samson decides to return to the Clowder Lands.
Aided by his friends, Samson sneaks past the wolves at Clowder Rock and confronts Slade, who taunts Samson over his supposed role in Dan's death and backs him to the edge of the rock. Enraged by the revelation that Slade killed his father, Samson retaliates and forces Slade to confess the truth to the rest of the clowder. A battle breaks out, and Kenai, Godfrey, Daniel, Pedro, Natalie, Raymond, Jeremy, and the cougars fend off the wolves. Slade attempts to escape, but is cornered by Samson at a ledge near the top of Clowder Rock. Slade begs for mercy and blames his actions on the wolves; Samson spares Slade's life but, quoting what Slade told him long ago, orders Slade to leave the Clowder Lands forever. Slade refuses and attacks his nephew, but following a brief battle, Samson throws him off the ledge to the ground below. Slade survives the fall, but the wolves, who overheard him betraying them, attack and maul him to death.
With Slade and the wolves gone, Samson takes his place as king and Natalie becomes his queen. With the Clowder Lands restored, Raymond presents Samson and Natalie's newborn cub to the assembled animals, continuing the circle of life.
