Ready to create your own parody? Awesome! Be sure to follow the outline and rules for creating one below.
Outline
- (Preferably) Create your parody as a blog post.
- Please title your work as “Parody Creation: (Insert title) by (insert username)
- Please start with an introduction giving users a glimpse of what to expect in your parody. Is there a specific genre to it? What is it based on? Please state exactly what you’re parodying.
- Is your parody a story? Feel free to write it as long and however you want to write it.
- Is your parody an idea? Feel free to give a bit of a synopsis as to what you envision your parody to be!
- Is your parody a recast? Tell us about it!
- At the end of your parody creation, please give examples of where the parody aspects can be found.
- When you’re all finished with your parody, be sure to categorize it as “Parodies written by (insert name)”. That way, other users can easily find written works by you if they fall in love with your creation! This also gives us a chance to keep track of written works so we can highlight them on the home page!
