The Tiger Guard is an American animated television series and based on DreamWorks' 1996 film The Tiger King. The series was first broadcast with a television film titled The Tiger Guard: Return of the Roar on Netflix on November 22, 2017, and began airing as a TV series on January 15, 2018, on Netflix. It is the second television series to be based on The Tiger King, the first being Tanay & Parish. The Tiger Guard is a sequel to The Tiger King and takes place during the time-gap within the 2000 film The Tiger King 2: Sanjay's Streak, with the third and final season taking place in parallel with the film's second act, followed by the final two episodes of the series serving as a continuation to the film.
