The Wildlife Land XII: The Great Day of the Birds is a 2010 animated musical direct-to-video film, and is the twelfth film in the Wildlife Land series. It was released on March 1, 2011 by Buena Vista Home Entertainment.

Plot:[]

Cody is having a difficult time preparing for "The Day of the Birds", an important day for all of the flying residents of the Nature Valley, when all of the young birds must participate in a very precise flying exhibition to prove that they are ready to fly with the adults. Always a nervous bird, Cody has even more trouble flying with his siblings in precise group formations—he's more of an independent, free-style bird. At the same time, a strange newcomer to the Nature Valley has Stampy and his friends trying to help figure out just exactly what he is. Named Gordon, a Scarlet Macaw, he's the strangest looking creature any of the Nature Valley creatures has ever seen, especially since he's covered with feathers, and has never seen another like himself. Chelsie is having her own troubles, as her grumpy father and his new mate, Tina, get ready to welcome a hatchling to the family. The hatchling's name is Tara and Chelsie begins to slowly bond with her new sister.

All of these issues come together on the night before "The Day of the Birds," when Gordon starts to figure out what he is. Gordon begins sleep walking and Cody and his friends follow him, inadvertently leading all of the gang on a perilous adventure into the Mysterious Beyond. They also discovered that Gordon can glide during the adventure. In the Mysterious Beyond, Gordon wakes up from sleep walking and accidentally wakes up a Saltwater Crocodile which gives chase and tried to eat them. But Cody, Gordon, and the others defeat the Saltwater Crocodile and they returned to the Nature Valley.

As "The Day of the Birds" arrived, Cody and his siblings begin to participate. Following Gordon's advice to be himself, Cody's uniqueness ends up being the "key" to completing the day, changing the Great Day of the Birds forever. Tara was watching and following the birds when she falls into a river and was carrying her straight to the waterfall. Gordon, Cody, and Cody's siblings rescued Tara just in time but they accidentally dropped Tara. Chelsie saved her before she lands in the river again. She even said her first words, which is "Chelsie". The film ends with Chelsie and her family loving on Tara while the other Animals watch in awe.
