Intro with The Logos and The Opening[]

  • TrainBoy43: Warning! This video is made by me, known as Jack McDaniel, TrainBoy43, that is. My productions intro, which you'll see, will contain video clips and audio for my remakes, that are not owned by me. Remember: This productions intro will be used for all year round YouTube, VHS, and DVD. We now join our regular scheduled programme in already in progress. (the VCI music plays with several clips from Thomas the Tank Engine, TUGS, Theodore Tugboat, Sonic the Hedgehog, Dumbo, The Simpsons, Rocko's Modern Life, Jimmy Neutron, The Little Engine That Could (2011), Casey Jr and Friends, Toy Story, Tickety Toc, Garfield, Blue's Clues, The Three Stooges, Veggietales, The Rescuers, Pound Puppies, and Teen Titans, before the main title goes to the Profile of TrainBoy43. The intro title begins where Thomas is puffing along his branchline, hauling his two coaches, Annie and Clarabel, who are not seen yet, until Thomas Saves The Day (Season 1), and when Thomas puffs under a bridge with the title saying The World's Strongest Engine and Other Stories, he arrives on time at his station called Ffarquhar, with the storytellers of Alec Baldwin, George Carlin, and Ringo Starr narrating the full movie)

The World's Strongest Engine (Alec Baldwin)[]

  • Narrator: The engines on the Island of Sodor liked feeling responsible, reliable and really useful. (as Casey Jr goes by, hauling his yellow coach, his blue coach, his orange baggage car, his green coach, and his red caboose, he passes Silver Fish standing on a siding, while Greendale Rocket goes by, hauling her green coach and red mailcar) They work hard to compete their jobs on time. They don't like confusion and delay. (as Melissa runs light engine past Emma, hauling six freight cars and a caboose, Percy, Duck, and Thomas, hauling Gordon's Wil Nor Wester train with a green and yellow coach, a tan coach, a red and white coach, a green coach, Connor's coach, Caitlin's coach, and a red coach, passing Henry, who, while hauling nine freight cars and a caboose, has come off the rails) But the troublesome trucks delighted mischief and their mischief causes trouble as poor Henry found out.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Henry has had an accident and been sent for repairs.
  • Narrator: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: There are no other engines available. So Diesel will help until Henry returns.
  • Engines: Yes sir.
  • Narrator: Huffed the engines, but they weren't happy. The engines didn't like Diesel he was always being rude and always showing off.
  • Percy: I hope Henry's mended soon.
  • Narrator: Said Percy.
  • Thomas: He moves more trucks than three Diesels put together.
  • Narrator: Agreed Thomas.
  • Gordon: Trucks are no one's friends.
  • Narrator: Huffed Gordon. The next day, Diesel was working at the docks. (Diesel arrives at the docks)
  • Diesel: When Sir Topham Hatt sees how good I am.
  • Narrator: He bragged to the trucks.
  • Diesel: He'll get rid of steam engines once and for all.
  • Narrator: This gave the troublesome trucks an idea. As Diesel was shunting them together, they started to sing. (Diesel shunts five freight cars alongside the rest)
  • Troublesome Trucks: (singing) Is that all you can haul, Henry loads are longer, is that all you can haul, Henry must be stronger.
  • Narrator: Diesel was cross. He was sure to be stronger than Henry.
  • Diesel: I'll push you all at the same time.
  • Narrator: He said. The trucks giggled.
  • Troublesome Trucks: (singing) Push us all, that's the longest, push us all, you'll be the strongest.
  • Diesel: That's me.
  • Narrator: Said Diesel.
  • Diesel: The world's strongest engine. (Diesel shunts five other cars into the first five, then collects five others, and shunts them with the rest, and collects the last batch, but shunts the last batch into the other fifteen, as Thomas, Percy, and Duck, on a siding, watch)
  • Alec Baldwin: And Diesel shunted five trucks together, then ten, then fifteen. Soon he had an enormous line of twenty trucks.
  • Percy: What's Diesel doing?
  • Narrator: Cried Percy.
  • Thomas: He thinks he's the world's strongest engine.
  • Narrator: Replied Thomas. Diesel didn't know the shunters have the brakes on the trucks. The troublesome trucks knew, but encouraged Diesel to push anyway.
  • Troublesome Trucks: Push, push, push! (Diesel pushes, but fails)
  • Narrator: Diesel pushed and he pushed and he pushed, but the trucks didn't move. So Diesel decided to pull the trucks instead.
  • Troublesome Trucks: (singing) Heave ho, heave ho, you can pull but we won't go.
  • Narrator: Sang the trucks. This made Diesel very cross. He pulled and he pulled and he pulled. (Diesel pulls, but snaps the coupling, then shoots forward into the sea)
  • Diesel: Help! Grease and oil!
  • Narrator: Diesel sulked as the trucks laughed and laughed. Sir Topham Hatt looked down crossly at Diesel.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I thought you would be a proper dockyard diesel, but I was wrong.
  • Narrator: He said.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Can you make up for lost time, Henry?
  • Henry: Oh yes, sir. (Henry, now repaired, goes by, and couples up to the rear of the train)
  • Narrator: Henry replied happily. He backed up to the trucks and the shunters released the brakes. Then Henry pulled away as easy as pie and the engines cheered. Diesel was sent home in disgrace, but the engines had learned a lesson.
  • Thomas: Even troublesome trucks can do you a favor sometime.
  • Narrator: Chuffed Thomas.
  • Percy: Like getting rid of a smelly old Diesel.
  • Narrator: Puffed Percy.
  • (Episode 1 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

Gordon Takes A Dip (George Carlin)[]

  • Narrator: Gordon was resting in a siding. Sometimes he thought...
  • Gordon: It's really tiring to be such a large and splendid engine, one does have to keep up appearance is so.
  • Henry: Peep peep peep peep! Hello, lazybones! (arrives with four freight cars and a caboose)
  • Narrator: Whistled Henry.
  • Gordon: What cheek!
  • Narrator: Spluttered Gordon.
  • Gordon: That Henry is too big for his wheels. Fancy speaking to me like that. Me who has never had an accident.
  • Percy: Aren't jammed whistles and burst safety valves accidents? (arrives alongside)
  • Narrator: Asked Percy innocently.
  • Gordon: No indeed. High spirits. Might happen to any engine. But to come off the rails like Henry did. Well, I ask you. Is that right? Is it decent?
  • Narrator: Then it was Henry's turn to take the express. Gordon watch him getting ready.
  • Gordon: Be careful, Henry. You're not pulling the flying kipper now. Mind you keep on the rails today. (Henry collects his three usual coaches like his green and yellow coach in the front, his red and white coach in the middle, and his red one at the back, and departs Knapford station)
  • Narrator: Henry went off in a huff, and Gordon yawned and went to sleep. But not for long.
  • Driver: Wake up, Gordon.
  • George Carlin: Said his driver.
  • Driver: A special train's coming and we're to pull it.
  • Gordon: Is it coaches or freight cars?
  • Driver: Cars.
  • Narrator: Said his driver.
  • Gordon: Cars.
  • Narrator: Said Gordon.
  • Gordon: Puh-huh.
  • Narrator: Gordon's fire was slow to start, so Edward had to push Gordon to the turntable to get him facing the right way. (Edward couples to Gordon and pushes him onto the turntable)
  • Gordon: I won't go, I won't go!
  • Narrator: Grumbled Gordon.
  • Edward: Don't be silly, don't be silly. (Edward leaves Gordon on the turntable to be turned around)
  • Narrator: Puffed Edward. At last, Gordon was on the turntable. The movement had shaken his fire. It was now burning nicely and making steam. Gordon was cross and didn't care what he did. He waited till the table was halfway round.
  • Gordon: I'll show them, I'll show them.
  • Narrator: He hissed. He moved slowly forward to jam the table, but he couldn't stop himself and slithered into the ditch.
  • Gordon: Oosh! (lands in the ditch)
  • Narrator: He hissed.
  • Gordon: Get me out, get me out!
  • Driver: Not a hope.
  • George Carlin: Said his driver and fireman.
  • Fireman: You're stuck, you silly great engine. Don't you understand that?
  • Narrator: They telephoned Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: So Gordon didn't want to take the special train and ran into a ditch? What's that you say? The special's waiting? Tell Edward to take it please. And Gordon? Leave him where his is. We'll get him out later.
  • Narrator: On the other side of the ditch, some little boys were chattering.
  • Boy 1: Oh, doesn't he look silly?
  • Boy 2: They'll never get him out.
  • Narrator: They began to sing.
  • Boys: Silly old Gordon fell in a ditch, fell in a ditch, fell in a ditch, silly old Gordon fell in a ditch all in the Monday morning.
  • Narrator: Gordon layed in the ditch all day.
  • Gordon: Oh, dear.
  • Narrator: He thought.
  • Gordon: I shall never get out.
  • Narrator: But that evening, they lifted Gordon and made a rope of sleepers under his wheels to keep him from the mud. Strong ropes were fastened to his back end, and James and Henry pulling hard, managed to bring him to safety. (James and Henry pull Gordon out of the ditch) Late that night, Gordon crawled home, a sadder and wiser engine. (Gordon sleeps in his shed)
  • (Episode 2 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

The Flying Kipper (Ringo Starr-US)[]

  • Narrator: (as Henry arrives home) One winter evening, Henry's driver said.
  • Henry's Driver: We'll be out early tomorrow. We've got to take the Flying Kipper. Don't tell Gordon, but I think if we pull the Kipper nicely, Sir Topham Hatt will let us pull the Express. The Special Coal they gave you is working well.
  • Henry: Hooray!
  • Narrator: Cried Henry. That will be lovely. (at the Harbour which Henry arrives at) All kinds of ships use the harbour at the station by the sea. They are passenger ships, cargo ships, and fishing boats also come here. They unload their fish from the quay. Some of it goes to shops in the town. And the rest into special trains to other places far away. This is the train the railway men call: The Flying Kipper. (Henry backs up and couples to nine vans and a caboose) Henry was ready at 5:00. There was snow at frost. Men huslted and shouted, loading up the crates of fish. The last door banged! The guard showed his green lamp. And the Flying Kipper was ready. (as Henry's wheels grip when he blows his whistle, he manages to start off out of the harbour, by pulling his train as easy as pie)
  • Henry: Come on! Come on! Don't be silly! Don't be silly!
  • Narrator: Puffed Henry to the freight cars. The cars shuddered and groaned.
  • Freight Cars: Trickety toc! Trickety toc! Alright! Alright!
  • Henry: That is better. That is better.
  • Narrator: Puffed Henry. (Henry speeds through the night, hauling his Flying Kipper train) Clouds of smoke and steam poured from his funnel into the cold air. And the fire's light shown brightly.
  • Henry: Hurry! Hurry! Hurry!
  • Narrator: Panted Henry. (Henry pounds his way onward) They were going well. The light grew better, the signal shown green, as they past. Then a yellow signal appeared ahead. His driver prepared to stop, but the home signal was down.
  • Henry's Driver: All clear, Henry! Away we go!
  • Narrator: They couldn't know the switches from the main line to a siding were frozen, and a home signal should have been set a danger, but snow had forced it down. (Henry goes onto the siding as the wrong track toward a freight train) A freight train was waited in a siding to let the Flying Kipper past, and the Driver and Fireman were drinking cocoa in the caboose.
  • Conductor: The Kipper is due.
  • Narrator: Said the conductor.
  • Fireman: Who cares?
  • Narrator Said the Fireman.
  • Fireman: This is good cocoa.
  • Narrator: The driver got up.
  • Driver: Come on, fireman, back to our engine.
  • Narrator: They got out just in time. (Henry crashes into the freight train, blowing his whistle, and coming off the rails) Henry's driver and fireman had jumped clear before the crash, but Henry lay dazed and surprised. (James goes by with the Breakdown Train to save Henry) Sir Topham Hatt came to see him.
  • Henry: The signal was down, Sir.
  • Narrator: Said Henry.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Cheer up, Henry. It wasn't your fault. Ice and snow cause the accident. I'm sending you to Crewe, a fine place for sick engines. They'll give you your new shape and a larger firebox. You'll feel a different engine, and you won't need special coal anymore. Won't that be nice?
  • Henry: Yes, sir.
  • Narrator: Said Henry doubtfully. (Henry returns home after being repaired and overhauled) Henry liked being a Crewe, but was glad to come home. A crowd of people waited to see him arrive in his new shape. He looked so splendid and strong that they gave him three cheers.
  • Henry: Peep, peep!
  • Narrator: He whistled.
  • Henry: Thank you very much!
  • Narrator: I'm sorry to say that a lot of little children were often late for school, because they waited to see Henry go by. They often see him pulling the express. (Henry goes by, pulling his usual three coaches like his green and yellow coach in the front, his red and white coach in the middle, and his red coach at the back, passing Gordon with nine freight cars and a caboose) He does it so well that Gordon is jealous. But that's another story.
  • (Episode 3 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

James in a Mess (Ringo Starr-US)[]

  • Narrator: Toby and Henrietta are enjoying their new job on the Island of Sodor, but they do look old fashioned and did need new paint. (as Toby, Henrietta, and nine freight cars arrive at Elsbridge station, James arrives with his four red coaches) James was very rude whenever he saw them.
  • James: Ugh. What dirty objects.
  • Narrator: He would say. At last, Toby lost patience.
  • Toby: James,
  • Narrator: He asked.
  • Toby: Why are you red?
  • James: I am a splendid engine.
  • Narrator: Answered James.
  • James: Ready for anything. You never see my paint dirty.
  • Toby: Oh,
  • Narrator: Said Toby innocently.
  • Toby: That's why you once needed bootlaces to be ready, I suppose.
  • Narrator: James went redder than ever and snorted off. It was such an insult to be reminded of the time a bootlace had been used to mend a hole in his coaches. (James departs Elsbridge station and arrives at Knapford station to drop his four coaches and blows his whistle) At the end of the line, James left his coaches and got ready for his next train. It was a slow freight, stopping at every station to pick up and set down cars. James hated slow goods trains. (James shunts a freight car, like a timber one, into three others, like a supply car, a tarp car, and a coal one)
  • James: Dirty cars from dirty sidings. Blech! (blows his whistle and shunts the four cars into four others, like another coal one, a lime car, a fish car, a cattle car, and a caboose. He sets out of Elsbridge station and blows his whistle)
  • Narrator: Starting with only a few, he pickled up more and more cars at each station, till' he had a long line. At first, the cars behaved well, but James had bumped them so crossly, that they were determined to get back at him. (James rounds a curve at the field, where he had his accident and puffs up to the top of Gordon's hill) Presently, they approached the top of Gordon's hill. Heavy freight trains halt here to set their brakes. James had had an accident with cars before, and should have remembered this.
  • James's Driver: Wait, James, wait! (James blows his whistle and reaches the top and puffs round the bend)
  • Narrator: Said his driver, but James wouldn't wait. He was too busy thinking what he would say to Toby when they next met. (the cars and caboose bump into James and push him down the hill) The freight cars' chance had come.
  • Foolish Freight Cars: Hurrah! Hurrah!
  • Narrator: They laughed, and banging their buffers, they pushed him down the hill. (James speeds down Gordon's hill at a high speed and races round a curve)
  • Foolish Freight Cars: On! On! On! (James blows his whistle)
  • Narrator: Yelled the cars.
  • James: I've got to stop! I've got to stop!
  • Narrator: Groaned James. (James thunders through Maron station past Thomas, who is slowly puffing into Maron station when he sees James speeding through, and has time to shut his eyes when he arrives on time at Maron station) Through the station they thundered. Disaster lay ahead. (CRASH!) Something sticky splashed all over James. He had run into two tar wagons, and was black from smokebox to cab. He was more dirty than hurt, but the tar wagons and some cars were all to pieces. (Percy blows his whistle as he and his freight car arrive with Toby, Henrietta, and the Breakdown train to meet James) Toby and Percy were sent to help, and came as quickly as they could. (Toby rings his bell)
  • Toby: Look here, Percy,
  • Narrator: Exclaimed Toby.
  • Toby: Whatever is that dirty object?
  • Percy: That's Percy, didn't you know?
  • Toby: It's James's shape,
  • Narrator: Said James.
  • Toby: But James is a splendid red engine, and you never see his paint dirty.
  • Narrator: James pretended he hadn't heard. Toby and Percy cleared away the unhurt cars, and helped James home. (Toby, Henrietta, and Percy set to work, clearing up the mess, and taking James back home) Sir Topham Hatt met them.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Well done, Percy and Toby!
  • Narrator: He turned to James.
  • Announcer: Fancy letting your cars run away, I am surprised. You're not fit to be seen, you must be cleaned at once! Toby shall have a new coat.
  • Toby: Please, sir, can Henrietta have one, too?
  • Narrator: Said Toby.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Certainly, Toby.
  • Toby: Oh, thank you, sir. She will be pleased!
  • Narrator: All James could do was watch Toby as he ran off happily with the news. (Toby, Henrietta, and Percy leave poor dirty James)
  • (Episode 4 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

Double Trouble (Season 2) (Ringo Starr-US)[]

  • Narrator: It was a beautiful morning on the Island of Sodor. Thomas the Tank Engine's blue paint sparkled in a sunshine as he puffed happily along his branch line with Annie and Clarabel. He was feeling very pleased with himself. (Thomas, blowing his whistle, puffs along his branchline, with his two coaches, Annie and Clarabel, and his special coach, toward Elsbridge station to meet Percy, hauling two coaches, and Toby, Henrietta, with another coach called Victoria, with three vans and a caboose)
  • Percy: Hello, Thomas
  • Narrator: Whistled Percy.
  • Percy: You look splendid.
  • Thomas: Yes indeed.
  • Narrator: Boasted Thomas.
  • Thomas: Blue is the only proper color for an engine.
  • Toby: Oh, I don't know. I like my brown paint.
  • Narrator: Said Toby.
  • Percy: I've always been green. I wouldn't want to be any other color either.
  • Narrator: Added Percy.
  • Thomas: (annoyed) Well, well, anyway.
  • Narrator: Huffed Thomas.
  • Thomas: Blue is the only color for a really useful engine. Anyone knows that.
  • Narrator: Percy said no more. He just grinned at Toby. Later, Thomas was resting when Percy arrived. (Percy brings in four freight cars to load under the hopper) A large hopper was loading his freight cars full of coal. Thomas was still being cheeky.
  • Thomas: Careful.
  • Narrator: He warned.
  • Thomas: Watch out with those silly cars.
  • Cars: Go on, go on!
  • Narrator: Muttered the cars.
  • Thomas: And by the way.
  • Narrator: Went on Thomas.
  • Thomas: Those buffers don't look really safe to me. (as Percy loads all his cars together, he accidentally goes too far, before the last load pours down and covers Thomas from smokebox to bunker, just to spoil his new paint)
  • Narrator: The last load poured down.
  • Thomas: Help, help!
  • Narrator: Cried Thomas.
  • Thomas: Get me out!
  • Narrator: Percy was worried, but he couldn't help laughing. Thomas' smart blue paint was covered in coal dust from smokebox to bunker.
  • Percy: Ha, ha!
  • Narrator: Chuckled Percy.
  • Percy: You don't look really useful now, Thomas. You look really disgraceful.
  • Thomas: (annoyed) I'm not disgraceful.
  • Narrator: Choked Thomas.
  • Thomas: You did that on purpose. Get me out!
  • Narrator: (as Casey Jr, coupled in front of his yellow circus coach, a red coach, and a freight car, and Tillie, coupled behind, depart, a sad Thomas drips a tear when he is covered in coal) It took so long to clean Thomas that he wasn't it time for his next train. Toby had to take Annie and Clarabel.
  • Annie: Poor Thomas.
  • Narrator: Whispered Annie to Clarabel. They were most upset. (Toby sets off, pulling Henrietta, Victoria, Annie, Clarabel, and Thomas's special coach) Thomas was grumpy in the shed that night. Toby thought it made a great joke, but Percy was cross with Thomas for thinking he had made his paint dirty on purpose. (a mad Percy, a happy Toby, and an annoyed Thomas are in the sheds)
  • Percy: Fancy a really useful blue engine like Thomas becoming a disgrace to Sir Topham Hatt's railway.
  • Narrator: Next day, Thomas was feeling more cheerful, (after getting cleaned, Thomas collects Annie, Clarabel, and Beatrice, and watches Percy bringing four freight cars and a caboose) as he watch Percy bring his cars from the junction. The cars were heavy and Percy was tired.
  • Driver: Have a drink.
  • Narrator: Said his driver.
  • Driver: Then you'll feel better.
  • Narrator: The water column stood at the end of the siding with the unsafe buffers. (Percy puffs forward to get a drink, but hits the buffers, then comes off the rails, just to covered in coal too) Suddenly, Percy found that he couldn't stop. The buffers didn't stop him either.
  • Percy: Ooh!
  • Narrator: Wailed Percy.
  • Percy: Help!
  • Narrator: The buffers were broken and Percy was wheel deep in coal. It was time for Thomas to leave. He had seen everything. (Thomas sets off with Annie, Clarabel, and his special coach)
  • Thomas: Now Percy has learned his lesson too.
  • Narrator: He chuckled to himself. That night, the two engines made up their quarrel.
  • Percy: I didn't cause your accident on purpose, Thomas.
  • Narrator: Whispered Percy.
  • Percy: You do know that, don't you?
  • Thomas: Of course.
  • Narrator: Replied Thomas.
  • Thomas: And I'm sorry I teased you. Your green paint look splendid again too. In future, we're both be more careful of coal.
  • (Episode 5 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

Whistles and Sneezes (George Carlin)[]

  • Narrator: Gordon was cross.
  • Gordon: Why should Henry have a new shape?
  • Narrator: He grumbled.
  • Gordon: A shape good enough for me is good enough for him. He goes gallivanting off, leaving to do his work, and comes back saying how happy he feels. It's disgraceful.
  • (music plays)
  • Gordon: And there's another thing: Henry whistles too much. No respectable engine ever whistles loudly at stations. It isn't wrong, but we just don't do it.
  • (Henry feels sad)
  • Narrator: Poor Henry didn't feel happy anymore.
  • Percy: Never mind.
  • Narrator: Whispered Percy.
  • Percy: I'm glad you're home again. I like your whistling.
  • (Gordon puffs away)
  • Gordon: Goodbye, Henry.
  • (his whistle blows)
  • Narrator: Called Gordon.
  • Gordon: We're glad to have you with us again. But remember what I said.
  • (Henry, with his green and yellow coach, red and white coach, and red coach, arrives at Wellsworth while his whistle blows)
  • Narrator: Later, Henry stopped at Edward's station.
  • Edward: Hello, Henry.
  • Narrator: Said Edward.
  • Edward: You look splendid. I was pleased to hear your happy whistle yesterday.
  • Henry: Thank you, Edward.
  • Narrator: Smiled Henry.
  • (Edward and Henry hear a whistling sound)
  • Henry: Shh, shh. Can you hear something?
  • Edward: It sounds like Gordon.
  • Narrator: Said Edward.
  • Edward: And it ought to be Gordon. But Gordon never whistles like that.
  • (Gordon can't stop whistling as he thunders down the hill, hauling his green and yellow coach, tan coach, red and white coach, green coach, and red coach)
  • Narrator: It was Gordon. He came rushing down the hill of a tremendous rate. He didn't look at Henry and he didn't look at Edward. He screamed straight through the station and disappeared.
  • (Gordon runs past Edward and Henry)
  • Edward: Well.
  • Narrator: Said Edward.
  • Henry: It isn't wrong.
  • Narrator: Chuckled Henry.
  • Henry: But we just don't do it.
  • Narrator: And he told Edward what Gordon had said.
  • (Gordon goes around the bend of the hill and still can't stop)
  • Narrator: Meanwhile, Gordon screeched along the line. The noise was awful.
  • (Gordon stops at Knapford)
  • Narrator: At the station, everyone covered their ears. Sir Topham Hatt covered his ears too.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Take him away!
  • Narrator: He bellowed.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: And stop that noise!
  • (Gordon leaves to get his whistle fixed after he gets uncoupled from his coaches)
  • Narrator: Gordon puffed sadly away. But he wouldn't stop whistling until two fitters climbed up and knocked his whistle valve in place.
  • (one of the them hit his whistle with a ball-peen hammer)
  • Narrator: That night, Gordon slunked into the shed.
  • (Gordon's whistle blows as he comes in)
  • Narrator: He was glad it was empty.
  • (James and Henry come in)
  • Henry: It isn't wrong.
  • Narrator: Murmured Henry to no one in particular.
  • Henry: But we just don't do it.
  • (Percy comes in too)
  • Narrator: No one mentioned whistles.
  • (the scene fades from night to day as Henry, with his three coaches, speeds along the main line)
  • Narrator: Next morning, Henry was enjoying himself enormously.
  • Henry: I feel so well, I feel so well.
  • Narrator: He sang.
  • Coaches: Trickety-trock, trickety-trock.
  • Narrator: Hummed his coaches.
  • (Henry sees the boys)
  • Narrator: Then he saw some boys on a bridge.
  • Henry: Peep-peep. Hello.
  • Narrator: He whistled.
  • (he goes under the bridge, but the glass shatters)
  • Henry: Ohh.
  • Narrator: He called. The boys didn't wave and take his number. They thought it fun to drop stones on him instead.
  • (the coaches' windows are broken)
  • Coaches: They've broken our glass, they've broken our glass.
  • Narrator: Sobbed the coaches.
  • (everyone was out)
  • Narrator : The passengers weren't hurt, but they were cross.
  • Passengers: Call the police!
  • Henry's Driver: No.
  • Narrator: Said the driver.
  • Henry's Driver: Leave it to Henry and me.
  • Passengers: What will you do?
  • Narrator: They asked.
  • Passengers: Can you keep a secret?
  • Henry: Yes, yes.
  • Henry's Driver: Well then.
  • Narrator: Said the driver.
  • Henry's Driver: Henry is going to sneeze at those boys.
  • (Henry feels happy about what his driver said before he continues on)
  • (Henry arrives at Lower Tidmouth)
  • Narrator: Lots of people were at the station just before the bridge. They wanted to see what would happen.
  • Henry's Driver: Henry has plenty of ashes.
  • Narrator: Said the driver.
  • Henry's Driver: Please keep all windows shut until we haved passed the bridge. Henry's is excited as we are. Aren't you, old fellow?
  • Narrator: Henry felt more stuffed up than excited.
  • (Henry leaves Lower Tidmouth)
  • (the three boys are on the bridge, beginning to throw stones)
  • Narrator: Soon, they could see the boys. And they all had stones.
  • Henry's Driver: Are you ready, Henry?
  • Narrator: Said his driver.
  • Henry's Driver: Sneeze hard when I tell you.
  • (Henry waits to sneeze)
  • Henry's Driver: Now.
  • Narrator: He said.
  • Henry: Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-atchoo!
  • (Henry sneezes at the boys and they were covered in ashes)
  • Henry's Driver: Well done, Henry.
  • Narrator: Laughed his driver.
  • (Henry's whistle blows as he passes Gordon running with seven freight cars and a caboose)
  • Narrator: Henry went home, hoping that next time he saw Gordon and the boys, they would have learned not to be so mean.
  • (Episode 6 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

Thomas Gets Tricked (Ringo Starr-US)[]

  • (The scene opens to Thomas, who is standing light engine)
  • Narrator: Thomas is a tank engine, who lives at a big station on the Island of Sodor. (Thomas's eyes spin round when he blinks with joy) He's a cheeky little engine, (Thomas's wheels are shown) with six small wheels, (Thomas's funnel is shown), a short stumpy funnel, (Thomas's whistle and dome are shown) a short stumpy boiler, and a short stumpy dome. (Thomas is later seen, pulling four coaches, such as a red coach, a green coach, and two dark red coaches into Knapford station, passing Henry, hauling three coaches, such as a green and yellow coach, a red and white coach, and a red coach, a boxcar, and caboose, with Gordon, waiting with four coaches, like his green and yellow coach, a tan coach, a red and white one, and one red one on his Wil Nor Wester train) He's a fussy little engine, too. Always pulling coaches about ready for the big engines to take on long journeys. (Henry sets off out of the station with his three coaches, his boxcar, and caboose) And when trains in come, (Thomas brings in four coaches bunker first) he pulls the empty coaches away, so that the big engines can go and rest. (Henry, his two coaches, boxcar, and caboose, set off, with James following with a boxcar, and pass Thomas, shunting a freight car) Thomas thinks no engine works as hard as he does. He loves playing tricks. (Gordon is shown) Including Gordon, the biggest and proudest engine of all. (Thomas's whistle is shown as it blows) Thomas likes to tease Gordon with his whistle.
  • Thomas: Wake up, lazybones! Why don't you work hard like me?! (flees as Gordon later passes by hauling three coaches like a green and yellow coach, tan coach, and red and white coach)
  • Narrator: One day, after pulling the Big Express, Gordon had arrived back on the sidings, and was very tired. (Thomas shunts four freight cars, such as a flatcar, two coal cars, a boxcar, and a caboose alongside Gordon) He was just going to sleep, when Thomas came up in his cheeky way. (Thomas blows his whistle again)
  • Thomas: Wake up, lazybones! Do some hard work for a change! You can't catch me! (leaves his freight cars and escapes proud Gordon, who is left cross)
  • Narrator: And off, Thomas ran laughing. Instead of going to sleep again, Gordon thought how he could get back at Thomas. (Next morning, Thomas is trying to awaken, but is drunk after drinking some many bottles of water) One morning, Thomas wouldn't wake up. His driver and fireman couldn't him start. (Thomas yawns as his driver and fireman are puzzled with Thomas's firebox empty) His fire went out and there was not enough steam. (the next shot focuses on Gordon at Knapford staiton, waiting for his train to come) It was nearly time for the Express. People were waiting, but the coaches weren't ready. (Thomas, still drowsy, starts slowly toward the station to collect Gordon's five usual coaches, like his green and yellow one, a tan coach, a red and white one, a green coach, and a red one, and, while cross, he couples up, alongside Gordon, who is cross) At last, Thomas started.
  • Thomas: Oh dear! Oh dear!
  • Narrator: He yawned. He fussed into the station where Gordon was waiting.
  • Gordon: Hurry up, you! (points his finger at Thomas, who is cross)
  • Narrator: Said Gordon.
  • Thomas: Hurry yourself! (points his tongue at Gordon)
  • Narrator: Replied Thomas. (Thomas pulls Gordon's five coaches into the station) Gordon the proud engine began making his plan to teach Thomas a lesson for teasing him. Almost before the coaches had stopped moving, (Gordon backs down onto his train) Gordon reversed quickly and was coupled to the train. (Gordon gets coupled up)
  • Gordon: Get in quickly, please!
  • Narrator: He whistled. (Gordon whistles and sets off with his express and drags Thomas along with him and his five coaches before poor Thomas blows his whistle) Thomas usually pushed behind the big trains to help them start, but he was always uncoupled first. (Gordon starts to speed up) This time, Gordon had started so quickly that they forgot to uncouple Thomas. Gordon's chance had come! (Gordon races along at a high speed)
  • Gordon: Come on, come on!
  • Narrator: Puffed Gordon to the coaches. (Gordon speeds along at a dangerous speed as if he might fall apart) The train went faster and faster. (Gordon heads through a tunnel and blows his whistle) Too fast for Thomas! (Thomas blows his whistle as he, Gordon, and the Express head through Henry's tunnel and out toward the other side) He wanted to stop, but he couldn't.
  • Thomas: Peep peep! Stop stop!
  • Gordon: Hurry hurry hurry!
  • Narrator: Laughed Gordon.
  • Coaches: You can't get away! You can't get away! (laugh at Thomas, who is tired)
  • Narrator: Laughed the coaches. (Gordon thunders over a viaduct with his five coaches and Thomas) Poor Thomas was going faster than he had ever gone before. He was out of breath, and his wheels hurt him, but he had to go on.
  • Thomas: I shall be the same again.
  • Narrator: He thought sadly.
  • Thomas: My wheels will be quite worn out. (Gordon thunders through the countryside toward the station with his four coaches while still pulling Thomas, and as engines both blow their whistles, they arrive at Wellsworth station, Edward's station, and come to a complete halt)
  • Narrator: (Thomas gets uncoupled and goes onto a turntable) Thomas was uncoupled, and he felt very silly, and exhausted. Next, he went onto a turntable, thinking off everyone laughing at him. (Thomas spins round on a turntable and puffs onto a siding out of the way) And then, he ran onto a siding out of the way.
  • Gordon: Well, little Thomas.
  • Narrator: Chuckled Gordon.
  • Gordon: Now you know what hard work means, don't you? (Thomas puffs wearily to a water tower to have a long drink and sips into a bottle of water)
  • Narrator: Poor Thomas couldn't answer. He had no breath. He just puffed slowly away to rest, and had a long, long drink. (Thomas puffs home very slowly, and feels careful afterwards, never to be cheeky to Gordon again)
  • Thomas: Maybe I don't have to tease Gordon to feel important.
  • Narrator: Thomas thought to himself, and he puffed slowly home.
  • (Episode 7 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

No Joke for James (George Carlin)[]

  • Narrator: James is a mixed traffic engine. He can pull both freight cars and coaches. (as the first shot finds James hauling nine freight cars and a caboose, the second shot finds James pulling five coaches like a green and yellow coach, two dark red coaches, and two light red coaches) He's proud of his smart red paint and so is his driver.
  • James' Driver: Everyone says you brighten up your day, James.
  • Narrator: One morning, James whistled loudly at the other engines. (James is in the yard with Percy and Thomas shunting freight cars together)
  • James: Look at me! I'm a smartest most useful engine on the line!
  • Thomas: Rubbish.
  • Narrator: Replied Thomas.
  • Thomas: We're all useful. Sir Topham Hatt says so and he's head of the whole railway.
  • Percy: You know what, James?
  • Narrator: Added Percy.
  • James: What?
  • Narrator: Replied James.
  • Percy: You're getting all puffed up. (James clanks fiercely away)
  • Narrator: James huffed away. Later, he was still boasting.
  • James: I'm the pride of the line. (meets up with Gordon as a freight train gets shunted past him)
  • Gordon: I saw you're pulling freight cars. You're only a goods engine.
  • James: I've pull coaches too.
  • Gordon: Not as much as I do.
  • James: But Sir Topham Hatt had plans for me.
  • Narrator: James was making this up but Gordon believed him.
  • Gordon: What plans?
  • James: Uh, wait and see. Oh dear.
  • Narrator: He thought.
  • James: Now what'll I do?
  • Narrator: Thomas was shunting shiny new coaches. (Thomas pulls into the yard with Gordon's five usual express coaches like Gordon's green and yellow Express coach, a red Express coach, a tan Express coach, a brown Express coach, and a red Express coach)
  • Thomas: Good morning, James.
  • James: Are those coaches for me?
  • Narrator: Asked James hopefully.
  • Thomas: No, these are for Gordon's Express. I'll fetch your freight cars next. (Tootle runs by with three freight cars and Katy Caboose)
  • Narrator: But James was going to play a trick on the other engines.
  • James: Actually, Thomas, I'm taking the coaches. Sir Topham Hatt asked me to tell you.
  • Thomas: What about the cars?
  • Narrator: Asked Thomas.
  • James: Uh, give them to Gordon.
  • Thomas' Driver: Come on, Thomas.
  • Narrator: Said his driver.
  • Thomas' Driver: Orders are orders. (Thomas obeys and leaves Gordon's coaches for James to couple up to so that he can escape)
  • Narrator: So when James' driver returned, James was coupled to the coaches and he puffed away. (James flees, taking Gordon's coaches) Thomas returned with the freight cars. And a few minutes later, Gordon arrived. (Thomas shunts five freight cars and caboose for Gordon, who arrives)
  • Gordon: Where's the express?
  • Narrator: Thomas told him about James.
  • Thomas: And so here are your cars.
  • Narrator: Gordon was very cross and so was his driver. (Thomas leaves the freight cars and flees)
  • Gordon's Driver: Wait until Sir Topham Hatt hears about this.
  • Narrator: Meanwhile James was enjoying himself enormously. (James speeds along the line, hauling Gordon's five Express coaches)
  • James: What a clever plan! What a clever plan!
  • Narrator: He chuffed. Then he saw Sir Topham Hatt. (as James arrives at Elsbridge station, Percy goes by, hauling four freight cars and a caboose)
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Some jokes are funny, but not this one, James. You have caused confusion.
  • James: Yes Sir.
  • Narrator: Said James.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You will now stay in your shed until you are wanted. (James obeys and uncouples himself from the train and flees sadly back to the shed)
  • Narrator: The other engines teased James.
  • Gordon: I wonder who'd be pulling the express today?
  • Narrator: Said Gordon.
  • Henry: I expect it'll be you.
  • Narrator: Replied Henry.
  • Henry: James is stuck in the shed for being silly.
  • Narrator: James felt sad. Next morning, he went back to work. (James sadly went back to work)
  • Thomas: Hello.
  • Narrator: Whistled Thomas.
  • Thomas: Good to see you out and about again.
  • James: I'm sorry I tricked you.
  • Narrator: Said James.
  • James: Are these my cars?
  • Thomas: Yes.
  • Narrator: Replied Thomas kindly.
  • Thomas: They're please to have you back. (Thomas leaves)
  • Narrator: James set off to the harbour with a train of freight cars. He bustled about all day pushing and pulling them into place. (James takes all nine freight cars and a caboose to the docks)
  • James' Driver: Time to go home now, James.
  • Narrator: Said his driver at last.
  • James' Driver: No cars or passengers. Just we too.
  • Narrator: But his driver was wrong.
  • Railway Inspector: Excuse me.
  • Narrator: Said the man.
  • Railway Inspector: I have a meeting with Sir Topham Hatt and I mustn't be late. May I ride back with you?
  • James' Driver: Of course.
  • Narrator: Replied James' driver. Then he whispered to James.
  • James' Driver: This gentleman is a railway inspector.
  • Narrator: James was most impressed. (couples up to his nine freight cars and caboose and speeds along the line at a high speed toward Knapford station) He steamed along the line as smoothly and quickly as he could. Sir Topham Hatt was waiting on the platform and the railway inspector greeted him warmly.
  • Railway Inspector: This clever engine gave me a splendid ride. You must be proud of him.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Yes indeed. James, once again, you are a really useful engine. (James smiles)
  • (Episode 8 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

Gordon and the Famous Visitor (George Carlin)[]

  • Narrator: It was an important day in the yard. Everyone was excited, making notes and taking photographs. A special visitor had arrived, and was now the center of attention. (all the engines are gathered at the yard at Tidmouth sheds. The engine on the turntable is City of Truro No. 3717, built for the Great Western Railway at Swindon engine works in 1903, retired from 1931, returned to service in 1957, and restored by 1985 on the Severn Valley Railway, since he has arrived at Tidmouth station, pulling a maroon coach and ten gray and blue coaches, while preserved at The National Railway Museum at York)
  • Thomas: Who's that?
  • Narrator: Whispered Thomas to Duck.
  • Duck: That...
  • Narrator: Said Duck proudly.
  • Duck: ...is a celebrity.
  • Percy: A what?
  • Narrator: Asked Percy.
  • Duck: A celebrity is a very famous engine.
  • Narrator: Replied Duck.
  • Duck: Driver says we can talk to him soon.
  • Thomas: Oh.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: He's probably too famous to even notice us.
  • Narrator: Just then, Gordon arrived. (Gordon arrives light engine to see the engines and City of Truro, from)
  • Gordon: Pah!
  • Narrator: Said Gordon.
  • Gordon: Who cares? A lot of fuss about nothing, if you ask me.
  • Narrator: And he steamed away. (Gordon leaves) Later that night, the engines found that the visitor wasn't concieted at all. He enjoyed talking the engines, till' long after the stars came out. (City of Truro talks to the other engines at nighttime and picks up all eleven of his coaches and leaves back for York) He left early next morning. Gordon was still complaining.
  • Gordon: Good riddance.
  • Narrator: He grumbled.
  • Gordon: Chattering all night. Who is he, anyway?
  • Thomas: Duck told you.
  • Narrator: Replied Thomas.
  • Thomas: He's famous.
  • Narrator: As famous as me? Nonsense.
  • Thomas: He's famouser than you. He went 100 miles an hour before you were thought of.
  • Gordon: Huh. So he says.
  • Narrator: Huffed Gordon.
  • Gordon: But I didn't like his looks. He's got no armor. Never trust domeless engines. They're not respectable. I never boast, but I'd say that 100 miles an hour would be easy for me. Goodbye. (Gordon leaves to collect his four Express coaches on his Wil Nor Wester)
  • Narrator: Duck took some freight cars to Edward's station. (Duck takes four freight cars to Edward's station)
  • Edward: Hello.
  • Narrator: Called Edward.
  • Edward: That famous engine came through this morning. He whistled to me. Wasn't he kind? (as Henry goes by, hauling three coaches, Edward shows Duck a flashback of City of Truro going by, hauling his eleven coaches, running back to the National Railway Museum, and blowing his whistle at Edward)
  • Duck: He's the finest engine in the world.
  • Narrator: Replied Duck, then he told Edward what Gordon had said.
  • Edward: Take no notice.
  • Narrator: Soothed Edward.
  • Edward: He's just jealous. He thinks no engine should be famous but him. Look, he's coming now. (Gordon, hauling his green and yellow coach, a tan coach, a red and white coach, a green coach, and a red coach, speeds through Edward's station, passing Duck and Edward)
  • Narrator: Gordon was running very fast. His wheels pounded the rails.
  • Gordon: He did it, I'll do it. He did it, I'll do it!
  • Narrator: Gordon's train rocketed past, and was gone.
  • Duck: He'll knock himself to bits! (Gordon speeds through Henry's forest)
  • Narrator: Chuckled Duck. Gordon's driver eased him off.
  • Gordon's Driver: Steady, Gordon. We aren't running a race.
  • Gordon: We are, then.
  • Narrator: Said Gordon, but he said it to himself. Suddenly, Gordon began to feel a little strange.
  • Gordon: The top of my boiler seems funny.
  • Narrator: He thought.
  • Gordon: It feels as if something is loose! I'd better go slower.
  • Narrator: But it was too late. On the viaduct, they met the wind. It was a teasing wind that blew suddenly at hard puffs. (as Gordon arrives at the bridge, he carefully puffs across, refusing to let the wind blow him off) Gordon thought it wanted to push him off the bridge.
  • Gordon: No, you don't!
  • Narrator: He said firmly. But the wind had other ideas. It curled round his boiler, crept under his loose dome, and lifted off and away into the valley below. (Gordon's dome gets blown, but falls off a cliff, then lands in the sea) Gordon was most uncomfortable. The cold wind was whistling through his hole where his dome should be and he felt silly without it. At the big station, the Freight Cars laughed at him. (the freight cars laugh at Gordon) Gordon tried to wheesh them away. (the freight cars continue laughing) But they crowded round', no matter what he did. On the way back home, he wanted his driver to stop and fetch his dome. (Gordon goes home light engine back to Tidmouth shed after delivering his coaches)
  • Gordon's Driver: We'll never find it now.
  • Narrator: Said his driver.
  • Narrator: You'll have to go to the works for a new one.
  • Narrator: Gordon was very cross.
  • Gordon: I hope the shed is empty tonight.
  • Narrator: He huffed to himself. (as Gordon arrives at Tidmouth sheds, he gets turned on the turntable, and ends up being teased by other engines) But all the engines were there waiting.
  • A Voice: Never trust domeless engines.
  • Narrator: Said a voice from somewhere behind him.
  • A Voice: They aren't respectable.
  • (Episode 9 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

Percy Takes The Plunge (Ringo Starr-US)[]

  • Narrator: One day, Henry wanted a rest, but Percy was talking to some engines. He was telling them about the time he had brave bad weather to help Thomas. (Henry arrives at the docks to take a rest in the shed, only to meet Percy and some other engines in the shed)
  • Percy: It was raining hard. Water swirled under my boiler. I couldn't see where I was going, but I struggled on. (a flashback of Percy's Promise is shown)
  • Bill: Oh, Percy, you are brave.
  • Percy: Well, it wasn't anything really. Water's nothing to an engine with determination.
  • Ben: Tell us more, Percy.
  • Henry: What are you engines doing here? (arrives at the shed)
  • Narrator: Hissed Henry.
  • Henry: This shed is for Sir Topham Hatt's engines. Go away. Silly things. (Bill, Ben, Casey Jr, Toots, Johnny, and Tillie leave)
  • Narrator: Henry snorted.
  • Percy: They're not silly.
  • Narrator: Percy had been enjoying himself.
  • Henry: They are silly and so are you. Water's nothing to an engine with determination. Huh.
  • Percy: Anyway.
  • Narrator: Said cheeky Percy.
  • Percy: I'm not afraid of water, I like it.
  • Narrator: He ran off to the harbour singing.
  • Percy: Once an engine attached to a train, was afraid of a few drops of rain.
  • Henry: No one ever lets me forget the time i wouldn't come out of the tunnel in case the rain spoiled my paint. (a flashback of Come Out, Henry! is shown)
  • Narrator: Huffed Henry. (Percy arrives to meet up with Thomas) Thomas was looking at the board on the key.
  • Thomas: Danger. We mustn't go passed it.
  • George Carlin: He said.
  • Thomas: That's orders.
  • Percy: Why?
  • Thomas: Danger means falling down something.
  • George Carlin: Said Thomas. (a flashback of Down the Mine is shown)
  • Thomas: I went pass danger once, and fell down a mine.
  • Percy: I can't see a mine.
  • Narrator: Said Percy. He didn't know that the foundations of the key had sunk. The rails now sloped down into the sea.
  • Percy: Stupid board.
  • Narrator: Said Percy. He made a plan. (Percy, coupled to six freight cars, and a caboose, puffs toward the Docks) One day, he whispered to the cars.
  • Percy: Will you give me a bump when we get to the key?
  • Narrator: The cars had never asked to bump an engine before. They giggled and chattered about it.
  • Percy: Driver doesn't know my plan.
  • Narrator: Chuckled Percy.
  • Cars: On, on, on!
  • Narrator: Laughed the cars. Percy thought they were helping.
  • Percy: I'll pretend to stop at the station, but the cars will push me pass the board. Then I'll make them stop. I can do that wherever I like.
  • Narratior: Every wise engine knows that you cannot trust freight cars.
  • Cars: Go on, go on! (bump Percy while his engine crew fall off the cab0
  • Narrator: They yelled, and bumped Percy's driver and fireman off the footplate.
  • Percy: Ow!
  • Narrator: Said Percy, sliding pass the board. Percy was frantic.
  • Percy: That's enough! (lands in the sea)
  • Narrator: Percy was sunked.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You are a very disobeident engine.
  • Narrator: Percy knew that voice.
  • Percy: Please, sir, get me out, sir, I'm truly sorry, sir.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: No, Percy, we cannot do that till high tide. I hope it will teach you to take care of yourself.
  • Percy: Yes, sir.
  • Narrator: It was dark when they brought floating cranes to rescue Percy. (Diesel takes the freight cars away while Thomas lifts Percy back onto the tracks with the Breakdown Train) He was too cold and stiff to move by himself. Next day, he was sent to the works on Henry's freight train.
  • Henry: Well, well, well!
  • Narrator: Chuckled Henry.
  • Henry: Did you like the water?
  • Percy: No.
  • Henry: I am surprised. You need more determination, Percy. Water's nothing to an engine with determination you know. Perhaps you will like it better next time.
  • Narrator: Percy is quite determined that they'll won't be a next time. (Henry departs with his freight train with Percy on top, hauling eight freight cars, and a caboose)
  • (Episode 10 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

Tender Engines (George Carlin)[]

  • Narrator: One morning, Gordon was in the yard taking on a large supply of coal.
  • James: That's the third load of coal you had today, Gordon. (James arrives with seven freight cars and a caboose to see Gordon)
  • Narrator: Said James.
  • James: Some might say you're being rather greedy.
  • Gordon: I'm an important engine.
  • Narrator: Replied Gordon.
  • Gordon: Important engines need plenty of coal, but I doubted if you would understand that, James.
  • Narrator: James snorted and went about his work. (James puffs away) Later, Gordon was taking on water from a standpipe because the water tower was under repair.
  • Duck: (arrives) I wouldn't drink too much of that water if I were you, Gordon. It might give you boiler-ache.
  • Gordon: Pah!
  • Narrator: Said Gordon.
  • Gordon: What's this? Educating Gordon day? First James, now you, Duck. Big engines have big needs. Little engines are just annoying.
  • Duck: Don't say I didn't warn you.
  • Narrator: Laughed Duck. Later, Gordon steamed into the yard at the big station. (Gordon arrives at the yard where Percy goes by, hauling three freight cars and a caboose)
  • Gordon: That's what I need.
  • Narrator: Explained Gordon. There, emerging out of his sheds, were two shiny tenders. (two tenders are shown from a visitor)
  • Gordon: Now If I had two tenders.
  • Narrator: Said Gordon.
  • Gordon: I wouldn't need to stop so often. And I wouldn't have to listen to silly little engines.
  • Driver: Those tenders belong to a visitor.
  • Narrator: Replied his driver. Diesel sidled up alongside. (Diesel arrives)
  • Diesel: Everyone knows that tenders are a mark and distinction, but I'm afraid that no amount of tenders will save you in the end. We diesels are taking over, and we don't need tenders to make us important, not even one. (Diesel leaves)
  • Narrator: Gordon was most upset. He was feeling just the same next morning. (as Thomas shunts Gordon's five express coaches like a green and yellow coach, a tan coach, a red and white coach, a green coach, and a red coach into Wellsworth station)
  • Gordon: I'm not happy.
  • Duck: I know.
  • Narrator: Said Duck.
  • Duck: It's boiler-ache.
  • Gordon: It's not boiler-ache.
  • Narrator: Protested Gordon.
  • Gordon: It's...
  • Henry: Of course it is.
  • Narrator: Interrupted Henry.
  • Henry: That water's bad. Your boiler must be full of sludge. Have a good wash-out, then you feel a different engine.
  • Gordon: Don't be vulgar. (backs onto his express train as James arrives, hauling his green and yellow coach and four red coaches)
  • Narrator: Huffed Gordon. He backed on his train hissing mournfully.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Cheer up, Gordon.
  • Narrator: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Gordon: I can't, sir. Is it true what diesels said, sir?
  • Sir Topham Hatt: What does his say?
  • Gordon: That diesels are taking over.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Don't worry, Gordon. That will never happen on my railway.
  • Gordon: (as James departs) One more thing, sir. Why did the visitor have two tenders?
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Because he lives on the railway with long difference between coaling depots.
  • Narrator: Gordon felt better. (Gordon leaves) But Henry started complaining. He banged some cars angrily. (Henry goes around the yard and bumps some freight cars hard)
  • Henry: I always worked hard enough for two.
  • Narrator: He puffed.
  • Henry: I deserved another tender.
  • Narrator: Duck whispered something to Donald. He was going to play a trick on Henry.
  • Duck: Henry?
  • Narrator: He asked.
  • Duck: Would you like my tenders?
  • Henry: Yours?! What have you got to do with tenders?
  • Duck: All right.
  • Narrator: Said Duck.
  • Duck: The deals off. Would you like them, Donald?
  • Donald: I wouldn't deprive you of the honor.
  • Narrator: Replied Donald.
  • Duck: It is a great honor.
  • Narrator: Continued Duck thoughtfully.
  • Duck: But I'm only a tank engine. Perhaps James might...
  • Henry: I'm sorry I was rude.
  • Narrator: Said Henry hastily.
  • Henry: How many tenders have you and when can I have them?
  • Duck: Uh, hmm, I have six and you can have them this evening.
  • Henry: Six lovely tenders!
  • Narrator: Chortled Henry.
  • Henry: What a splendid sight I'll be. (puffs away)
  • Narrator: Henry was excited all day. (Henry pulls his green and yellow coach, red and white coach, and red coach)
  • Henry: Do you think it'll be all right?
  • Narrator: He asked for umpteenth time.
  • Duck: Of course.
  • Narrator: Said Duck. (Henry and Duck set off)
  • Duck: They're already now.
  • Narrator: The other engines waited where they can each get a good view. But Henry wasn't a splendid sight at all. His six tenders were very old, dirty and filled with boiler sludge. (Duck rolls through the station while Henry follows with six dirty tenders)
  • Gordon: Have a good wash-out, Henry?
  • Narrator: Called a voice.
  • Gordon: That's right. You'll feel a different engine now.
  • Narrator: Henry was not sure, but he thought his voice belongs to Gordon's.
  • (Episode 11 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

James and the Trouble with Trees (Alec Baldwin)[]

  • Narrator: Thomas the Tank Engine had been working in the coal yards all day. The little blue engine was covered in coal dust. (an annoyed Thomas arrives, hauling seven freight cars and a caboose)
  • Thomas' Driver: We can't clean you up tonight, Thomas. (a sad Thomas is upset)
  • Narrator: Said his driver.
  • Thomas' Driver: There's a problem with the hose pipe. (a surprised Thomas gasps)
  • Thomas: (tired) Bother!
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: (happy) A bath would make me feel much better. (confused) The others are sure to say I look silly.
  • Narrator: But the engines were too busy arguing to notice Thomas. James was talking loudest of all.
  • James: I deserve a new coat of paint. Sir Topham Hatt says I'm the pride of the line and...
  • Henry: Rubbish!
  • Narrator: Huffed Henry.
  • Henry: We're all the pride of the line.
  • Percy: It's been like this all day.
  • Narrator: Confided Percy to Thomas.
  • Percy: James is getting a new coat of paint and won't stop boasting about it.
  • Thomas: Why, James! I'm the one who needs a new coat. Look at me.
  • James: I rather not.
  • Narrator: Retorted James.
  • James: You're not a pleasant sight and wouldn't understand that needs of a really important engine.
  • Narrator: Thomas was fuming. Next morning as James was being repainted, Henry had an accident.
  • (Henry bumps into the cars and causes them to derail)
  • James: If you can't push cars properly, Henry, why not talk to a tree instead. You know how much you like the forest.
  • Henry: As a matter of fact, bossy boiler, Sir Topham Hatt is inspecting the island for trees that have fallen too close to the line. He's worried that might cause trouble.
  • James: Pah!
  • Narrator: Laughed James.
  • James: If I came upon a tree I just push it aside.
  • Henry: Really!?
  • Narrator: Henry replied. Soon, James was showing off his paintwork. (James puffs away to find Thomas hauling the Breakdown Train and Percy pushing from behind)
  • James: Make way for an important engine.
  • Percy: You wouldn't feel important if one of those trees crashed on you. You feel hurt.
  • Narrator: Reproached Percy.
  • James: Rubbish! It wouldn't dare!
  • Terence: You should be careful, James. Trees can be just as powerful as engines.
  • Narrator: Advised Terence.
  • James: (angry) Oh please! Now excuse me, Sir Topham Hatt needs me to pull the express. (puffs away)
  • Narrator: And he huffed away. But James was wrong.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You must go to the yards and collect an important goods train, James. It's heavy so be careful.
  • Narrator: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • James: (angry) But, sir, I've just been repainted. Can't Thomas and Percy do it? They're dirty and like working with freight cars.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Really useful engines don't argue. (James angrily puffs away)
  • Narrator: So James didn't. By the time he arrived at the yards, the weather was changed for the worse. (James backs up and couples to ten freight cars and a caboose)
  • Freight Car: Your color's nice, James. Pity about your face though.
  • Narrator: Said a freight car. James ignored them and set off. (an angry James puffs away, taking his ten freight cars and a caboose with him) Soon they came to a hill and his driver knew they were in for a difficult time. An old tree close to the tracks was being blown by the strong winds and the rain had weakened the slope. All of a sudden, the tree moved.
  • (a scared James sees the tree ahead and comes to a halt)
  • James: (scared) Oh help!
  • Narrator: Cried James.
  • James: (scared) Go away!
  • Narrator: But of course, the tree couldn't. James tried to reverse away from the tree but his train was too heavy. (James tries to reverse away from the tree and pushes his freight train that was too heavy) Then he heard a whistle. (a whistle blows)
  • James' Driver: It's Thomas. (Thomas comes to the rescue)
  • Narrator: Called his driver. James felt embarrassed and worried that Thomas would laugh at him, but Thomas didn't. He knew it was no time for teasing.
  • Thomas: Peep, peep! I'm ready!
  • Narrator: Whistled Thomas.
  • James: (tired) So am I.
  • Narrator: Replied James.
  • James: (tired) As ready as I'll ever be.
  • Narrator: They were just in time.
  • (The tree lands on the ground with a loud wham!, as James and Thomas flee with the freight cars and caboose)
  • Narrator: Later, James spoke to Thomas.
  • James: Percy and Terence were so right to warn me. Thank you for rescuing me, Thomas.
  • Thomas: Oh, that's all right. We engines have to pull together whatever the weather.
  • Narrator: Just then, Edward bustled in. (Edward arrives)
  • Edward: Sir Topham Hatt thinks you're both brave engines. Thomas, you're going to have a new coat of paint, and James, Sir Topham Hatt says that tomorrow you'll pull the special express.
  • Narrator: Everyone was very happy.
  • (Episode 12 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

Percy and the Signal (George Carlin)[]

  • Narrator: Percy works in the yard at the big station. He loves playing jokes, but they can get him into trouble. (Percy puffs along, hauling eight freight cars and a caboose) One morning, he was very cheeky indeed.
  • Percy: Peep peep! Hurry up, Gordon, the train's ready.
  • Narrator: Gordon thought he was late.
  • Percy: Ha, ha, ha, ha!
  • Narrator: Laughed Percy and showed him a train of dirty coal cars. Gordon thought how he can pay Percy back for teasing him. Next it was James' turn.
  • Percy: Stay in the shed today, James. Sir Topham Hatt will come and see you.
  • James: Ah!
  • Narrator: Thought James.
  • James: Sir Topham Hatt knows I'm a fine engine. He wants me to pull the special train.
  • Narrator: James' driver and fireman could not make him move. The other engines grumbled dreadfully. (Montana, Tootle, and Tracy pull some freight and passenger trains) They had to do James' work as well as their own. At last, the inspector arrived.
  • Inspector: Show a wheel, James. You can't stay here all day.
  • James: Sir Topham Hatt told me to stay here. He sent a message this morning.
  • Inspector: He did not. How could he? He's away for a week.
  • James: Oh.
  • Narrator: Said James.
  • James: Oh, where's Percy?
  • Narrator: Percy had wisely disappeared. (Percy takes four freight cars and a caboose away with him to escape) When Sir Topham Hatt came back, he was cross with James and Percy for causing so much trouble. But the very next day, Percy was still being cheeky.
  • Percy: I say, you engines, I'm to take some freight cars to Thomas' junction. Sir Topham Hatt chose me specialy. He must know I'm a really useful engine.
  • James: More likely, he wants you out of the way.
  • Narrator: Grumbled James. Gordon looked across to James. They were going to play a trick on Percy.
  • Gordon: James and I were just speaking about signals at the junction. We can't be too careful about signals, but then i needn't say that to a really useful engine like you, Percy.
  • Narrator: Percy felt flattered.
  • James: We've had spoken about backing signals.
  • Narrator: Put in James.
  • James: They need extra special care you know. Would you like me to explain?
  • Percy: No thank you, James.
  • Narrator: Said Percy.
  • Percy: I know all about signals.
  • Narrator: Percy was a little worried.
  • Percy: I wonder what backing signals are.
  • Narrator: He thought.
  • Percy: Never mind, I'll manage. (puffs off and collects four freight cars and a caboose, passes Thomas, hauling Annie, Becky, Britanny, Clarabel, the dismissing coach, Drew, and Beatrice)
  • Narrator: He puffed crossly to his freight cars and felt better. He came to a signal.
  • Percy: Bother, it's a danger.
  • Narrator: The signal moved to show line cleared. Its arm moved up instead of down. Percy had never been that sort of signal before.
  • Percy: Down means go and up means stop. So upper still must mean go back. I know. It's one of those backing signals.
  • Driver: Come on, Percy.
  • Narrator: Said his driver.
  • Driver: Off we go. Stop! You're going the wrong way! (Percy backs away)
  • Percy: But it's a backing signal.
  • Narrator: Percy protested and told him about Gordon and James. The driver laughed and explained.
  • Percy: Oh, dear.
  • Narrator: Said Percy.
  • Percy: Let's start quickly before they see us.
  • Narrator: He was too late. Gordon saw everything. (Gordon goes by, hauling his five usual coaches like his green and yellow coach, tan coach, red and white coach, green coach, and red coach, leaving Percy to puff away, hauling his four freight cars, and caboose back to the shed) That night, the big engines talked about signals. They thought the subject was funny. Percy thought they were being very silly.
  • (Episode 13 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

Haunted Henry (Alec Baldwin)[]

  • Narrator: It was a moonlit night. Henry was taking a goods train to the station by the lake.
  • (Owl hoots)
  • Edward: Whenever that owl hoots, a mist rolls in.
  • Narrator: Murmured Edward.
  • Edward: There's a legend that when the mist is about, there's a ghost about too. Take care on the old line, Henry.
  • Henry: Stupid bird!
  • Narrator: Said Henry.
  • Henry: Owls, mists, ghosts. Edward's going soft to the boiler. There's no mist. (puffs down the track, hauling ten freight cars and a caboose)
  • Narrator: But Henry was wrong.
  • Henry: What's that?
  • Narrator: Cried Henry.
  • Henry's Driver: It's an amber lamp.
  • Narrator: Murmured his driver.
  • Henry's Driver: That means proceed with caution. Who's there?
  • Narrator: No one replied. Henry crepted slowly forward. He stopped by a tree. It had a sign nailed to it: Beware of The Viaduct. The driver was surprised.
  • Henry's Driver: No one warned us about that before and look, the signal's red and the gates are closed. A-a-and there's a fogman's coat. But where is his owner?
  • Narrator: Then, they saw a light move within a station building.
  • Henry: G-g-g-g-ghosts!
  • Narrator: Exclaimed Henry.
  • Henry: Edward was right.
  • Henry's Driver: Something very strange is happening.
  • Narrator: Said his driver.
  • Henry's Driver: I think it's best we go back.
  • Henry: So do I! (flees)
  • Narrator: Agreed Henry. By morning, the mist had cleared. A workman was talking about the unsafe viaduct.
  • Workman: Lucky you didn't cross it last night.
  • Henry's Driver: Yes, but we don't know who warned us?
  • Narrator: Replied Henry's driver. Later that day, he spoke to Henry. (as Greendale Rocket thunders by with a green coach and a red mail car)
  • Henry's Driver: The viaduct has been repaired. We can take our train back along the old line tonight. (Melissa puffs away, hauling seven freight cars and a caboose)
  • Narrator: Henry really didn't want to. But when nightfall came, he was sizzling nicely. Suddenly, an owl hooted and then Gordon thundered by. (Henry sizzles nicely, but is surprised when he hears an owl hoot, and sees Gordon go by, hauling a green and yellow coach, tan coach, red and white coach, green coach, and red coach)
  • Freight Car: Oh look. Henry's spooked.
  • Narrator: Said a freight car.
  • (Cars giggling)
  • Henry: Be quiet!
  • Narrator: Snapped Henry. (Henry puffs off, pushing the freight cars in front of him)
  • Henry: I'm not scared.
  • Narrator: But he was. A little later, the fog came down. As they approached the same area, they saw the amber light again.
  • Henry's Driver: Here we go.
  • Narrator: Said Henry's driver. Then, unknown to Henry, the gates mysteriously closed by themselves and the signal went red. The freight cars had seen everything and they were spooked.
  • Freight Cars: Faster, faster. There's a ghost about.
  • Henry: Stop, stop!
  • Narrator: Yelled Henry. A mysterious figure watched Henry go by. Ahead was a landslide blocking the line. Henry braked hard but the freight cars hit some of the rubble and plunged into the ravine.
  • (The cars fall down and crashed towards the ground with a loud Kuh-Thud)
  • Narrator: Just then, Henry's driver saw a strange sight coming towards them.
  • Henry's Driver: What's that?
  • Narrator: He said. The fireman laughed.
  • Henry's Fireman: That's our ghost. It's Old Bailey the Fogman.
  • Narrator: Old Bailey was very cross.
  • Old Bailey: I tired to warn you about the viaduct. Why didn't ye pay attention?
  • Henry's Driver: We're sorry.
  • Narrator: Replied the driver.
  • Henry's Driver: Is there anything we can do to thank you?
  • Old Bailey: I like to operate that old station. If you let me, I promise I won't spook Henry again.
  • Alec Baldwin: And in a little while, Old Bailey's wish was granted.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You and your station will be really useful.
  • Narrator: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Let's hear a hearty thank you to the friendliest, eh, ghost on the island.
  • Narrator: Everyone cheered. Especially Henry, who was the happiest of all.
  • (Episode 14 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

Old Iron (Ringo Starr-US)[]

  • Narrator: One day, James have to wait at the station till Edward and his train came in. This made him cross. (as Edward arrives with three coaches)
  • James: Late again!
  • Narrator: Edward laughed and James fumed again. (James' whistle toots as he sets off with his express train with his five usual colored coaches. He heads onto the turntable and gets turned around and goes into the shed past Thomas and Percy) After James had finished his work, he went back to the yard, and puffed on to the turntable. He was still feeling very bad tempered.
  • James: Edward is impossible!
  • Narrator: He grumbled to the others.
  • James: He clanks about like a lot of old iron and he is so slow, he makes us wait!
  • Narrator: Thomas and Percy were indigment.
  • Percy: (cross) Old iron?! Slow?!
  • Thomas: (annoyed) Why, Edward could beat you in a race any day!
  • James: Really?!!
  • Narrator: Said James.
  • James: I should like to see him do it. (blows his whistle and goes to sleep and arrives with his freight train with seven freight cars and a caboose at the morning light)
  • Narrator: Next morning, James' driver was suddenly taking ill. He could hardly stand, so the fireman uncoupled James ready for shunting. James was impatient. Suddenly, the signalman shouted. (James, after getting uncoupled, sets off light engine past other trains coming and going) There was James puffing away down the line.
  • Signalman: All traffic halted!
  • Narrator: Called the signalman. Then he told the fireman what had happened.
  • Signalman: Two boys were on James' footplate fiddling with the controls.
  • Fireman: Phew!
  • Signalman: They tumbled off and ran when James started. (Phone rings)
  • Narrator: The signalman answered the telephone.
  • Signalman: Yes? He's here? Right, I'll tell him. The inspector's coming at once. He wants a shunter's pole and a coil of wire rope.
  • Fireman: What for?
  • Narrator: Wondered the fireman.
  • Signalman: Search me, but you better get them quickly.
  • Narrator: The fireman was ready when Edward arrived. (Edward arrives) The inspector saw the pole and a rope.
  • Inspector: Good man, jump in.
  • (Edward's whistle toots)
  • Edward: We'll catch him, we'll catch him.
  • Narrator: Puffed Edward. James was laughing. (James passes Gordon and Henry hauling their passenger and freight trains and runs out of control)
  • James: What a lark! What a lark!
  • Narrator: He chuckled to himself. Suddenly, he was going faster and faster. He realized that he had no driver.
  • James: What shall I do? I can't stop! Help! Help!
  • Edward: We're coming, we're coming! (races toward James's rescue)
  • Narrator: Called Edward. (Edward's whistle toots) Edward was panting up behind with every ounce of steam he had. At last, he caught up with James. (Edward's whistle toots)
  • Edward's Driver: Steady, Edward.
  • Narrator: Called his driver. The inspector stood on Edward's front holding a noose of rope in the crook of the shunter's pole. He was trying to slip it over James' buffer. The engines swayed and lurched. At last... (the Inspector on Edward's front, swings the rope, and grabs onto James's buffers and climbs across with his crew to help Edward and James puff toward Crosby station slowly)
  • Inspector: Got him!
  • Narrator: He shouted. He pulled the noose tight. Gently braking, Edward's driver checked the engines' speed, and James' fireman scrambled across and took control.
  • Edward: So the old iron caught you after all.
  • Narrator: Chuckled Edward.
  • James: I'm sorry.
  • Narrator: Whispered James.
  • James: Thank you for saving me. You were splendid, Edward.
  • Edward: That's all right.
  • Narrator: Replied Edward. The engines arrived at the station side by side. Sir Topham Hatt was waiting.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: A fine piece of work.
  • Narrator: He said.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: James, you can rest, and then take your train. I'm proud of you, Edward. You shall go to the works and have your worn parts mended.
  • Edward: Oh, thank you, Sir.
  • Narrator: Said Edward.
  • Edward: It'll be lovely not to clank.
  • (Episode 15 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

Thomas's Christmas Party (Ringo Starr-US)[]

  • Narrator: It was Christmas on the Island of Sodor. All the engines were working hard. Thomas and Toby were busy carrying people and parcels up and down the branch line. (Thomas, with Annie, Becky, Britanny, Clarabel, his dismissing coach, Drew, and Beatrice, are taking several freight cars, and a caboose) Everyone was happy. Only the coaches Annie and Clarabel were complaining.
  • Annie and Clarabel: It's always the same before Christmas.
  • Narrator: They groaned.
  • Annie and Clarabel: We feel so full, we feel so full.
  • Thomas: Oh, come on!
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: Where's your festive spirit? Christmas day is almost here.
  • Narrator: By the side of the track was a little cottage with a familiar figure waving to them.
  • Thomas: It's Mrs. Kyndley!
  • Narrator: Whistled Thomas.
  • Thomas: Peep, peep! Happy christmas!
  • Narrator: Thomas always felt better for seeing her.
  • Thomas: Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without Mrs. Kyndley.
  • Narrator: He said to himself. When work was over, Thomas went to see the other engines. All their coats had been polished.
  • Gordon: Pooh!
  • Narrator: Said Gordon.
  • Gordon: Just look at us. Your driver will have to work fast to get you as smart as us.
  • Thomas: Never mind that.
  • Narrator: Replied Thomas.
  • Thomas: I've something important to say. Do you realize it's been a whole year since Mrs. Kyndley saved us from a nasty accident. You remember when she was ill in bed and...
  • Edward: Yes of course.
  • Narrator: Interrupted Edward.
  • Edward: You told us how she waved her red dressing gown out of her window to warn you about a landslide ahead.
  • Percy: And you and Toby gave her presents.
  • Narrator: Percy joined in.
  • Percy: And Sir Topham Hatt sent her to the seaside to get better.
  • James and Henry: But...
  • Narrator: Said the other engines.
  • James and Henry: The rest of us never thanked her properly.
  • Thomas: Exactly.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: So now I think we should all give her a special Christmas party.
  • Narrator: Everyone was getting very excited and the drivers felt sure that Sir Topham Hatt will agree as indeed he did. The engines were all busy making plans, when silence fell. Sir Topham Hatt had bad news.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: The weather's changed badly. Mrs. Kyndley is snowed up. Toby says he'll help to rescue her. You must help too, Thomas. There's no party unless you do.
  • Narrator: Thomas hated snow, but he said bravely.
  • Thomas: I'll try, sir. We must rescue her, we must.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: There's a good engine. You and Toby will manage splendidly.
  • Narrator: Thomas charged the snowdrifts fiercely. Sometimes he swept them aside, sometimes they stuck fast and the men had to loosen them. But at the cutting near the cottage, they could go no further.
  • Thomas' Fireman: Look at that!
  • Narrator: Exclaimed Thomas' fireman.
  • Thomas: Peep, peep! Here we are.
  • Narrator: An answering wave came from an upstairs window. Then they heard a familiar sound.
  • Thomas: That's Terence the Tractor.
  • Narrator: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: He's come to help too.
  • Narrator: Sure enough, Terence had a snowplough and was working hard to clear a patch to the railroad line to safety. At long last, the rescue was complete. Percy took the tired workmen home. Terence said goodbye to Mrs. Kyndley and promised to take care of her cottage as he watched them all set off. The engines made good time. No more snow had fallen, but the yard was dark. There was no one to be seen. Thomas' heart sank. Suddenly, all the lights went on. What a marvelous site awaited Mrs. Kyndley.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Well done!
  • Narrator: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I'm really proud of you all.
  • Narrator: Mrs. Kyndley especially thanked the smaller engines.
  • Mrs. Kyndley: Thomas and Toby are old friends.
  • Narrator: She said.
  • Mrs. Kyndley: And now Percy, you are my friend too.
  • Narrator: Percy was very pleased.
  • Percy: Three cheers for Mrs. Kyndley!
  • Narrator: He called.
  • Percy: Peep, peep, peep!
  • Narrator:: They all whistled.
  • Engines: (singing) We wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
  • Narrator: Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends thought it was the best Christmas ever and Mrs. Kyndley could think of nowhere should rather live than here with them on the Island of Sodor.
  • (Episode 16 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

Busy Going Backwards (Alec Baldwin)[]

  • Narrator: (Toad is upset) Toad the break van was feeling sad. Everywhere he looked, he could see engines and coaches moving steadily forwards. (Greendale Rocket puffs out of Knapford station, hauling her green coach and rail mail car, and as Melissa departs, hauling a green and yellow Express coach and a red and white Express coach, Emma speeds by, hauling three tan coaches) They all looked confident and cheerful. One day, he decided to talk to Oliver the Great Western Engine. (an upset Toad is with Silver Fish and Oliver)
  • Toad: I'm always going backwards, Mr. Oliver. I have forward thinking views. I could be a leader if you know what I mean.
  • Gordon: You can't be a leader without a train to follow you. You don't have a train.
  • Narrator: Gordon said. Toad felt sadder still. Oliver wanted to help,
  • Oliver: You're a really useful break van, Toad. You help me break and you keep my freight cars in order when we go down hills.
  • Toad: I know, Mr. Oliver, but it would be so exciting to go forwards for a change instead of always things sliding away from me.
  • Narrator: The freight cars were cross with Toad.
  • Car 1: Who's he to start complaining?
  • Car 2: He's lucky to be able to look after us.
  • Car 3: Let's teach him a lesson. (Oliver departs, hauling seven freight cars, and Toad. As he goes through Wellsworth station, Oliver, his seven freight cars, and Toad, passes Casey Jr, who is hauling his yellow coach, blue coach, orange baggage car, green coach, and red caboose)
  • Narrator: The freight cars were simply carried up their plan when they reached Gordon's Hill. When they were nearly at the top, they played their tricks.
  • Cars: Ready, steady, go!
  • Narrator: Said the freight cars And they jerked and a coupling which broke. (a coupling breaks)
  • Cars: We're making your wish come true, Toad! Follow the leader!
  • Narrator: Yelled the freight cars. Toad was still in a state of shock so he didn't know what to think. And he couldn't ask the conductor, he had jumped clear.
  • Cars: Faster, faster, as fast as you want!
  • Narrator: Screamed the freight cars. Suddenly, Toad found it all rather fun but the fun was soon over. A crossing lay ahead and the gates were closed, Toad couldn't stop. Worse still, Toad now realized he was on the wrong track. There ahead was Gordon! The signalman changed the points just in time. (a sad Gordon, hauling a green and yellow Express coach, a green Express coach, and a red Express coach, sees Toad coming toward him and go by)
  • Cars: On, on, faster!
  • Narrator: Cried the freight cars. Suddenly, he saw James pulling a long slow train.
  • James: Oh, my goodness! (puffs along, hauling seven freight cars, and a cabosoe)
  • Toad: Help, save me!
  • Narrator: A quick thinking shunter did just in time.
  • James: What was that?!
  • Narrator: Explained James. The signalman warned the stationmaster at the next station.
  • Signalman: There's a runaway coming!
  • Stationmaster: We'll send them into the sidings.
  • Toad: Help, help!
  • Narrator: Called Toad again. Toad saw some buffers. (Toad goes into a siding, passing Tillie hauling her Birthday Train cars, and passes Pete, hauling a green and yellow Express coach and a tan Express coach)
  • Toad: Those'll stop me.
  • Narrator: But the points in the buffers weren't safe.
  • Toad: No, no! I'm back on the main line!
  • Narrator: Meanwhile Oliver was racing to the rescue.
  • Oliver: I must catch Toad. I must.
  • Narrator: Toad sped past Henry. (Toad passes Henry, who is hauling a light red coach, a green coach, and two dark red coaches) More danger lay ahead. Men were working on the bridge, but they had been warned about the runaway Toad and his freight cars. They diverted him onto old sidings, straight into a muddy pool.
  • (Toad passes Ackley Attack 4427 and falls into a muddy pool)
  • Toad: Stopped at last.
  • Narrator: Oliver arrived and when he saw Toad, he can only smile.
  • Oliver: A pond is the only place for a Toad I suppose.
  • Narrator: That night, Toad spoke to Oliver.
  • Toad: I'm sorry, Mr. Oliver, if I caused you any embarrassment.
  • Oliver: That's all right, Toad. So what did you think of going forwards?
  • Toad: It was fun.
  • Narrator: Decided Toad.
  • Toad: But from now on, I'll be happy to look forward to the future, busy going backwards so to speak.
  • (Episode 17 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

Special Attraction (George Carlin)[]

  • Narrator: Toby the Tram Engine was very excited. He was wearing a brand new bell that shown like gold. He was off to the seaside. His driver was explaining everything as they puff along the line. (Toby puffs off, pulling Henrietta, Victoria, and Elsie, along with three boxcars and a caboose with him. Trevor travels through thevillage while Toby, his coaches, carry on)
  • Driver: There's a seaside village near here, and every year, they have a big parade with a special attraction for all the visitors. This year, Toby, you're the special attraction.
  • Toby: Thank you, sir.
  • Narrator: Said Toby.
  • Toby: But what does a special attraction do?
  • Driver: Oh, just smiles and blows whistles at everyone.
  • Narrator: Replied his driver.
  • Driver: We're almost there. Listen, you can hear the seagulls. (Toby arrives at a station)
  • Narrator: Soon, they reached the little station by the village. But instead of a big welcome, there was just one man. He whispered to Toby's driver and turned sadly away.
  • Driver: Well, if that doesn't take the biscuit.
  • Narrator: Said Toby's driver.
  • Driver: They've run out of room and a parade and don't need a special attraction after all. We've got to go home, Toby. I'm sorry, old boy.
  • Toby: (sighs) So am I. (obeys and puffs back to the station where Percy is taking some freight cars and a caboose)
  • Narrator: Sighed Toby. Percy was shunting in the yard. He didn't expect to see Toby.
  • Percy: What are you doing back so soon?
  • Narrator: Before Toby could reply, Sir Topham Hatt arrived.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Leave these cars please, Percy. There's an emergency at the harbour.
  • Driver: Come on, Percy.
  • Narrator: Said his driver.
  • Driver: This'll be trouble with Bulstrode.
  • Percy: Who's Bulstrode?
  • Narrator: Wondered Percy. He was still surprised about Toby, and now he had two puzzles to sort out. His driver explained. (Percy leaves the freight cars and puffs away to the harbour)
  • Driver: Bulstrode is disagreeable barge. He never stops complaining.
  • Narrator: His driver was right about Bulstrode. Today, the barge was more bad temper than ever.
  • Bulstrode: Come on, come on! Hic. Why aren't you cars where you should be?
  • Cars: There's no engine, and we can only go where we put!
  • Narrator: Shouted the cars.
  • Cars: You're in the wrong place, not us!
  • Narrator: When Percy arrived, Bulstrode was sulking and the cars were crosser still.
  • Cars: Our stone is for Bulstrode. Please put us in a siding so that we can load him up and be rid of him. (Percy obeys and takes some cars out of the siding to the top)
  • Narrator: But the cars were being careless. As Percy was lining them up, they burst through some buffers. (Percy lines up the cars until they all fall on Bulstrode by bursting through some buffers)
  • Cars: Help, help!
  • Narrator: They wailed. But it was too late.
  • Bulstrode: Oh!
  • Narrator: Cried Bulstrode.
  • Bulstrode: I'm sinking!
  • Cars: Serves you right!
  • Narrator: Giggled the cars.
  • Cars: You're always barging in and moaning.
  • Narrator: It took a very long time to clear the mess. Percy watched as Bulstrode was towed to the beach.
  • Workmen: There you are. (after Bulstrode is towed to the beach, Percy puffs by, hauling the remaining freight cars)
  • Narrator: Said the workmen.
  • Workmen: Now you can just stay here. Children can play you all day and at long last you'll be useful.
  • Bulstrode: (groaning)
  • Narrator: When Percy got home, he and Toby exchange all their news.
  • Toby: Well, we both have seaside surprises today.
  • Narrator: Laughed Toby.
  • Percy: But driver says that I'm a special attraction anyway, and so are you.
  • Toby: Every time we go on our own line.
  • Percy: What do you mean?
  • Narrator: Asked Percy.
  • Toby: Well, all we have to do is smile and blow whistles at everyone.
  • (Episode 18 ends with the nameplates with Thomas, the number one tank engine, Edward, the number two blue engine, Henry, the number three green engine, Gordon, the number four blue engine, James, the number five red engine, Percy, the number six small engine, and Toby the Tram Engine, number seven, before Sir Topham Hatt appears, and holds out a sign, which says next story coming up!)

Something in the Air (Alec Baldwin)[]

  • Narrator: One day, Thomas was at the keyside of a small village. Fish were being loaded into his cars. The work took a long time, the fishermen were using old equipment and Thomas was worried. (Thomas stands firm, hauling seven freight cars and a caboose)
  • Thomas: (sad) I'm going to be late for Henry at the docks. He won't like this. Please hurry up.
  • Narrator: Thomas was rudely interrupted.
  • (The crate containing fish inside falls on top of a surprised Thomas)
  • Narrator: His driver and fireman laughed.
  • Thomas: (tired) Phew!
  • Narrator: Sniffed Thomas.
  • Thomas: (tired) What a pong!
  • Narrator: He was glad when they were speeding along the beautiful coastal run. Then, they saw a man waving a red flag. (Thomas puffs along, hauling seven freight cars and a caboose, and passes Casey Jr, who goes by, hauling his yellow coach, blue coach, orange baggage car, green coach, and red caboose)
  • Thomas: (confused) What's the matter now?
  • Man: High tides are damaging the track.
  • Narrator: Reported the man.
  • Man: I've marked the spot.
  • Thomas' Driver: We'll go and inspect.
  • Narrator: Said the Driver.
  • (a sad Thomas heads for the damaged track)
  • Thomas' Driver: It would be dangerous for heavy engines like Henry.
  • Narrator: Agreed the driver.
  • Thomas' Driver: But for Thomas, it's safe enough.
  • Narrator: The guard left a red oil lamp by the damaged track to warn engines.
  • Guard: When we get to the docks, I'll tell them to close the line.
  • Narrator: Henry was waiting for Thomas' cars. (a hard working Thomas arrives his seven freight cars and a caboose with Henry waiting with his five cars)
  • Henry: (angry) Pah! You're late and that smell is making me ill!
  • Thomas: (annoyed) I can't help it, it's the fish! (stands next to Emma, who goes by, hauling a light red coach, a green coach, and two light red coaches)
  • Narrator: Replied Thomas.
  • Thomas: (sad) And there's danger on the rails. That's why we're late.
  • Henry: (cross) Pah! You're the only danger on the rails, Thomas. Now stop wasting time and get my cars hitched to my train.
  • Narrator: Thomas' driver and fireman were in the yard master's office when they heard Henry's whistle. He was steaming out of the station with his long heavy train called The Flying Kipper. (Henry puffs along with his long heavy train of twelve freight cars and a caboose in The Flying Kipper train)
  • Thomas' Driver: What route is Henry taking tonight?
  • Narrator: Asked the Driver.
  • Yard Master: The coastal run. It's the quickest.
  • Thomas' Driver: But I told you!
  • Narrator: Gasped the driver.
  • Thomas' Driver: That's dangerous for a big engine like Henry!
  • Narrator: The yard master quickly phoned the signalman. Henry roared past the signalbox.
  • Henry: I'll soon make up for lost time.
  • Narrator: The signalman couldn't hear the warning. By the time he did, Henry was far away in a cloud of steam. But when Henry reached the coastal track, his hopes for a fast run were dashed. Fog floated everywhere. (Henry runs down the line, hauling his twelve freight cars and caboose, and passes Tillie, who goes by, hauling her Birthday Train cars)
  • Henry: I can't see!
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried Henry. Nor could his driver. And when he could, it was too late.
  • (Henry falls down into the deep water with a surprised Silver Fish hauling a breakdown train and watching)
  • Narrator: As soon as the tide was high enough, Henry was craned out of the water. (Pete pulls away the twelve freight cars and caboose)
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Engines don't swim, Henry. You were meant to deliver fish not swim with them. (Melissa pulls Henry out of the water) You should know that by now.
  • Henry: Yes, sir. I'm sorry, sir.
  • Narrator: When Henry arrived at the docks, Cranky the Crane looked down on him.
  • Cranky: My, my, Henry. I expect you'll have some fishy tales to tell. But take my advice, have a long hosedown first.
  • Henry: Pah!
  • Narrator: Hissed Henry. But there was worse to come. (Greendale Rocket arrives, hauling her green coach, and red mail car)
  • Boy 1: Look! They've caught all this fish and a green whale too.
  • Boy 2: It's not a whale, it's a monster.
  • Narrator: Henry was most upset. Thomas now felt sorry for Henry. (a tired Thomas arrives and couples up to Henry)
  • Thomas: Come on. Your driver says it's time for a nice washdown. Then you'll feel much better.
  • Narrator: And Henry did. (Thomas puffs away and pulls Henry with him and passes Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, who go by, hauling a green and yellow Express coach, a red and white Express coach, a red Express coach, a tan Express coach, and a green Express coach)
  • Henry: I'm sorry I was rude to you, Thomas.
  • Thomas: That's all right. But can you smell something?
  • Henry: W-W-What?
  • Thomas: Fresh air.
  • Henry: Oh yes.
  • Narrator: Replied Henry happily.
  • (the film ends with a still picture from Something in the Air and the credits go upward, before the end ends with the same video clips and audio at the end of the film)
