Plot[]

Mr. Wolf is an anti-social and highly territorial Wolf who loves the solitude of his swamp, and enjoys fending off mobs and intruders. His life is interrupted after the overweight Mayor Muldoon of Oakton City exiles a vast number of characters, who inadvertently end up in the swamp. Angered by the intrusion, Wolf decides to visit Muldoon and demand they be moved elsewhere. He reluctantly allows a talkative Fish Out of Water, Oscar, whom he saved from Muldoon's guards before, to tag along and guide him to Oakton City.

Meanwhile, Muldoon is presented with the Bot, who tells him that he must marry a princess in order to become president. Mayor Muldoon chooses Sunset Shimmer, who is imprisoned in a castle guarded by a Giantess, Mount Lady Unwilling to rescue Sunset himself, he organizes a tournament in which the winner will receive the "privilege" of performing the task on his behalf. When Wolf and Oscar arrive at Oakton City, Muldoon announces that whoever kills the wolf will be crowned the victor; however, Wolf and Oscar defeat Muldoon's knights with relative ease. Amused, Muldoon proclaims them champions, and agrees to relocate the characters if Wolf rescues Sunset.

Wolf and Oscar travel to the castle and are attacked by Mount Lady. Wolf locates Sunset, who is appalled by his lack of romanticism; they flee the castle after rescuing Oscar from Mount Lady. When Wolf removes his helmet and reveals he is a wolf, Sunset stubbornly refuses to go to Oakton City, demanding Muldoon arrive in person to save her; Wolf carries her against her will. That night, after setting up camp, and with Sunset alone in a cave, Wolf admits to Oscar that he is antisocial because he grew frustrated after being constantly judged for his appearance. Sunset overhears this, and decides to be kind to Wolf. The next day, the three are harassed by Robin Hood and his band of Merry Men, with Sunset dispatching them easily using martial arts. Wolf becomes impressed with Sunset, and they begin to fall in love.

When the trio nears Oakton City, Sunset takes shelter in a windmill for the evening. Oscar later enters alone and discovers that Sunset has transformed into a fox. She explains she has been cursed since childhood, forced to transform into a fox every night, and changing back at sunrise. She tells Oscar that only "true love's kiss" will break the spell and change her to "love's true form". Meanwhile, Wolf is about to confess his feelings to Sunset, when he overhears Sunset referring to herself as an "ugly beast". Believing that she is talking about him, Wolf angrily leaves and returns the next morning with Muldoon. Confused and hurt by Wolf's abrupt hostility, Sunset accepts Muldoon's marriage proposal and requests that they be married before nightfall.

Wolf abandons Oscar and returns to his now-vacated swamp, but quickly realizes that he feels miserable without Sunset. Oscar appears, chastises Wolf for his bad behavior and for jumping to conclusions, and encourages him to express his love to Sunset. The two reconcile, and quickly travel to Oakton City by riding Mount Lady, whom Oscar has befriended.

Wolf interrupts the wedding just before the ceremony ends, and tells Sunset that Muldoon is only marrying her to become president. The sun sets as Sunset transforms into a fox in front of everyone, causing Wolf to understand what he overheard. Outraged and disgusted, Muldoon orders Wolf killed and Sunset re-imprisoned, so that he will still be president by technicality. The two are saved when Mount Lady, ridden by Oscar, breaks in and devours Muldoon. Wolf and Sunset profess their love and share a kiss. Sunset's curse is broken; she is surprised to find she has remained a fox, though Wolf reassures her that he still finds her beautiful. They marry in the swamp with the characters in attendance, then leave for their honeymoon.
