Plot[]

Newlyweds Wolf and Princess Sunset Shimmer return from their honeymoon to find they have been invited by Sunset's parents to a royal ball to celebrate their marriage. Sunset convinces a reluctant Wolf that they should accept, and they travel to the kingdom of Far Far Away with Oscar in tow. They meet Sunset's parents King Archimedes and Queen Adelaide, who are shocked to see the animals, with Archimedes particularly repulsed. At dinner, Wolf and Archimedes get into a heated argument, and Sunset, disgusted at their behavior, locks herself away in her room. Wolf worries that he is losing Sunset, particularly after finding her childhood diary and reading that she was once infatuated with Gaston.

Archimedes is secretly reprimanded by Gladys Sharp, who had arranged with Archimedes for her son Gaston to marry Sunset. She orders Archimedes to get rid of Wolf or else lose his own happy ending, so Archimedes arranges for local superhero Peter Porker/Spider-Ham to assassinate the wolf.

Unable to defeat Wolf, Peter reveals that he was paid by Archimedes and offers to be an ally. Wolf, Oscar, and Peter sneak into Gladys' factory and steal a "Happily Ever After" potion that Wolf thinks will make him good enough for Sunset. He and Oscar drink the potion, lament that nothing seems to be happening, and then suddenly fall asleep. Back in Far Far Away, Sunset prepares to find Wolf so they can return home, but she too falls asleep.

The next morning, Wolf, Oscar, and Sunset awaken to find that the two animals are now humans, and Oscar is a white stallion. In order to make the change permanent, Wolf must kiss Sunset by midnight. Wolf, Oscar, and Peter return to the castle; however, Gladys, having discovered the theft, has sent Gaston to pose as human Wolf and win Sunset's love. At Gladys' urging, Wolf leaves the castle, believing that the best way to make Sunset happy is to let her go.

Sunset is skeptical of Gaston; therefore, to ensure the two will wed, Gladys gives Archimedes a love potion to put into Sunset's tea. This exchange is overheard by Wolf, Oscar, and Peter, who are arrested by the royal knights after Oscar inadvertently exposes them. While a royal ball begins, the characters whom Wolf and Oscsd had met during their previous adventure arrive at the dungeon and rescue the trio. They all storm the castle with the help of a monstrous living troll created by SpongeBob.

Wolffails to prevent Gaston from kissing Sunset, but instead of falling in love, Sunset headbutts him. Archimedes reveals that he swapped Sunset's tainted teacup with his own, unable to go through with the plot. Enraged, Gladys tries to strike Wolf with a spell from her magic wand. Archimedes jumps in front of it, reverting into the Frog Prince; some of the spell ricochets off his armor, knocking Gladys backwards. Appearing unharmed at first, Gladys furiously aims her wand at Wolf again, but before she can deliver the final blow, the spell causes her to explode and evaporate into bubbles.

With Gladys gone, Archimedes apologizes, admitting to using the "Happily Ever After" potion years earlier to gain Adelaide's love. He approves Wolf and Sunset's marriage, while Adelaide assures Archimedes that she still loves him. As the clock strikes midnight, Sunset declines Wolf's offer to remain human, and they revert into animals, while Oscar also returns to normal. In a mid-credits scene, Mount Lady, who had previously married Oscar, reveals that they now have several giant-fish hybrid babies.
