Trivia

  • Zangoose and its rival Template:P share several characteristics, such as being in the Template:Egg Egg Group, residing in the same Friend Area, and being the only two Pokémon with a base stat total of 458.

  • His appearances in The Stephen Squirrelsky and Friends' Movie Spoof Travels are Kermiladdin 2: The Return of McLeach where he, Manfred, Seviper, Springbaky, Zangoose, and Chimpy attempt to catch Stephen and his friends, but miss, then in Here Comes Winnie the Pooh where he, Lionel, You-Reek Skunk, Teresa, Trevor Sr, Trevor Jr, Slade Spider, Jackal O'Tucksy, Poisonous Snake, Cruella, Jasper, Horace, The Greaser Dogs, The Greasers, The Rowdyruff Boys, Poodles Galore, Mandark, Manfred, Beedrill, Springbaky, Seviper, Chimpy, Red Guy, Feisty Badger, Red Deer, Dicki Yak, and The Cyberchase Villains work for Ratigan, Fidget, and other baddies to stop Stephen and his friends from delivering the Easter eggs, just to fail again, and will hopefully be in more.

Origin

Zangoose is based on the Template:Wp, a cat-like carnivore that is well known for its ability to hunt and kill venomous snakes. It also bears physical resemblance to the Angora and Persian cat breeds. The rivalry it shares with Seviper is based on the relationship between both cats and mongooses towards Template:Wps.

Name origin

Zangoose is a combination of 刪 san (cut down) and mongoose. It may also derive from 残痕 zankon (scar) due to the markings on its body.
